Yesterday I was at the Paris' pool and was reading Zlatan Ibrahimovic's book (Swedish football player) and two Swedish guys came to talk to me. Turned out they were really cool dudes so we bought a bottle of vodka and went to their room to play some 5-card PLO and watch the NHL. I think I won like $1k and it was really fun.
After that I went to Bally's 1/2 NLHE and lost again. I think I need to bluff a little less at these tables than at home because the players are not so good. If there's a good spot to bluff it's so hard not to use it but I think I have learned my lesson though and will nit it up a little.
Today I will play my first tournament:
DSE IV - Event #22 - No Limit Hold'em
Monday, Nov 10, 2014
12:00pm
Late Reg. – 4:30pm
$400 No Limit Holdem
Deepstack Extravaganza IV - 2014
At Bally's table this big ass Mexican guy was sitting next to this drunk ass Bulgarian guy who said someone has stolen money from him when he went to bathroom. The floor didn't believe it and they didn't even check the cameras. Then this Mexican guy changed seats next to me and was constantly grabbing my chips as a "joke". I always noticed it so he just laughed it away. I don't know if I want to play at Bally's anymore. It's a little bit sketchy room and the dealer said people get stabbed or shot more than you think. I don't know if she was joking but if you get stabbed I think it's more probable at Bally's than let's say Bellagio. I raise a lot of hands and Americans seem to think that's rude and almost get angry at me. This is the biggest cultural difference so far. I don't want to get stabbed or shot but can't really stop raising those limpers either.
e. Didn't mean to say everyone's angry or anything. 90% of players are really nice and I have had a blast so far at the tables. It's still a little sketchy that they don't even check the cameras for claimed thefts.
