Also I heard from promoter from 1oak today. He gave a bunch of apologies and says I gotta a couple bottles waiting for me. I might make this 2+2 night if I can get enough interest.

Back in town. Blah what a crazy drive. Although tbh it's not as bad as it use to be. I only got to play one real session while in Sacramento. It was a nice one though. I bought in for a 100 and cashed out 750 at my old card rooms 1,2 game. Buy in is 20-100 so that's why the 50bb buy in. Considering how small the game plays cashing out 750 was a killer night. Only put in a 4 hour session too.

Was great to see all my old family that I hadn't seen for at least 10+ years. My dad married his ex wife who had been a major pat of my life. I had lost touch with her side of the family so it was great. No pokers tonight but I'll be back on the grind tomorrow. 3100 more to go before 2,5 starts.

Also if anyone wants to pay off, my name is gill_out. Pm me first to arrange stakes

Re: I moved to vegas to play poker blah blah blah follow me thread

in ur opinion is the rake beatable in the $20 NL? this has been something ive been trying to learn, but without a sufficient sample, and my roll has gotten too low to play higher. have u ever seen a $2-4 omaha anywhere in cali or a $3-6 that isnt a kill all the time? that might be beatable too for a small roll, ur advice on these matters would probably be valuable since u travel alot of cali

I don't travel a lot of cali. Only played in Sacramento. The 20-100 nl is beatable. But not If your buying In for $20. No idea about your hilo questions. Also the 1,2 nl game allows for 100bb buy in at the main table I just didn't need to by the time I got moved because I had already doubled up.

Meh session last night. Was going well the got pretty coolered. Ended the session down 59. Only a couple interesting hands. I three bet a pretty active player from the blinds to 52 w/am off after he had tried isoing a limper to 15 from the hijack. Flop was a74 2 clubs. I had a of clubs. I bet 35 hoping he might spaz with a weaker Ave. He calls. Turns a red queen. I check he bets 60 I call rivers a red3 I check he bets 110 I call he shows 95cc. I had about 300 to 280ish to start the hand. I think I should ha be cr the turn but idle felt like he had lots of bluffs in his range because of dynamics from earlier hands.

Shortly after that I raise his straddle to 18 w/ A2 suited. We were 6 handed. He and the bb call. Flops 345 and we end up getting it in after I call his 4bet shove. He has 67 and I lose a high 800 pot.

Only other hand that bothered me was A hand where a regular makes it 20 otb after a fish limps from ep. It really seemed like he just wanted a fold and I was already thinking about 3 betting from the sb when I look down at aj off. I make it 65 and he calls after thinking for a while. Stacks were about 350 effective going to the flop. Flop is something like 762 rainbow. I check like a *****. He checks back turns a q putting 2 diamonds. On board. Thinking this is a good spot to bet him off his mid pairs I bet 92, he thinks for ever and calls river is a 3d and I just check. He checks back and shows q10 off really annoyed at myself for not betting flop.
Anyways just got the bellagio and am about to sit.

Played a weird had other night, curious about what 2+2 lvl pros think.

Hand happened at bellagio 1,3

Reads: 20's Norwegian. Definitely not a pro or grinder type but very aggro on the river. Plays lots of pots in and out of pos. Seems to play flop and turns passive but loves to put the pressure on the river through leads, raises and check raises.
Him and I have played quite a few pots together. Before he was on my left. He successfully cr bluffed me once and got picked off once.
Effective stacks 550.
Folds to him in the cutoff he limps I raise to 24 from the button with A4off. He calls
Flop is 5c5h2c. (I have Ac) he checks I bet 35 he calls.
Turn is a 10s we go check Check.
River is a red 3.
He checks I bet 45 he laughs grabs a hundred goes to raise then pulls back and grabs another 100 raising it to 245.

Part of my reasoning for betting small on the river was to induce a raise bluff. He was pouncing on river weakness all night. However most of his river cr bluffs were only like +100 or so.

Anyways feel free to comment away or ask any other questions

Fold pf, as played since he is capable of big bluffs on the river I think you have to call.

What is his perception of you? Most often the villain gets described in these but your read of the villain's perception of you must also be a consideration.

But in spite of that, I could not imagine folding here based on your description of the hand. The 3 seems like a gift.

He views me as a good player who is willing to play/gamble with him.. He has gotten me to fold the near top of my range with a river bet and had me pick him off with pretty much the bottom of my range as well. We have been ordering the same drinks and he enjoys playing with me.

If it wasn't late for me I would get into more discussion here but I make the call here. Look forward to hearing the result. I am certain you didn't fold so post up the result when your ready.

Re: I moved to vegas to play poker blah blah blah follow me thread

so post 1$ sb, post 3$ bb, he limps for 3$ in CO, you make it 8x? =)

easy isolation preflop as youre going to print money and put him in a lot of tough spots, and he plays back so when you hit you can win a big one

id jam river, you probably called and won

when you check back turn you dont rep **** by betting the 3, so i see him check raise bluffing a lot, id expect a bet out of a value hand from him on river b/c he knows you're gonna check back most rivers after checking turn, so you should widen your value range imo

What does this mean? It's such a general statement.....and if anything he put himself in a tough position. I mean what is the guys limp calling range? Why aren't we barreling the turn to put him in a tough spot? Everyone always says oh I can take it away and put him in tough spots....usually this means I hope he folds to my cbet so I can win this bloated pot with my **** hand or get a bail out.
