i actually read further back and saw the hand with complete history. I wrote a somewhat detailed post about it, then realized the hand was posted months ago and deleted it.

cliffs is, i min raise pre. It keeps his air in (which shoving doesnt), it gives him an opportunity to spaz-shove pre thinking he has steal equity and if he just calls, youll be able to get it in on most flops with him.

If we just flat, my problem is that frequently he is going to try some kind of spazzy overbet otf, and well have to reluctantly fold (hell be betting like 115 into 68).

If we shove, we chase out most of his weaker holdings for sure. We might get a call out of 88 here (because he makes us for AK, ldo) but if hes doing this with random garbage, that garbage is going to fold here, when he might make a disasterous error otf with it. Against some people i might shove -- if i know from history they don't open fold with a short stack, for example.

Well in standard and expected fashion after reviving the thread I proceed to get smashed. - 759 in under an hour at the Wynn. Would go in to bad beats but I think another thread in lvl already has enough of them. :-P anyways taking the rest of the night off because my tilt meter was way to high. Going to beat mega man 9 and listen to the **** show monsoon that is about to hit.

Megaman update:game is hard and I'm a mega fish. Played for 20 minutes said f it and put on far cry 3 blood dragon. For those of you who haven't played this game I highly recommend you download it. Very enjoyable. I beat it and gotta say it has a very great ending.

Can you refresh why you have a backer? Said you spent all of your funds, right? I've heard grinding 1/2 or 1/3 for a living is already hard enough (around 20/hr), so effectively you're grinding the same hours for 10/hr? Any way you can cut the deal after 1/3 and making him 5k, then go on your own to get to 2/5 again? I haven't kept up with the thread, but seems like the pits grinding all those hours for half the cut at lower stakes. Seems almost better to just get repeated one time stakes like Bellande does and roll the dice than to keep a full backer on, cutting into already tight profits. Wish you the best.

Yes of coarse I could call off the stake after the 1,3 is over but I haven't really been saving the profit I've been getting. I had bills that were backed up and what not and used the profit from the stake so far to pay all those off. I plan on saving for up for a roll once I start 2/5. Although depending on how that goes if he is willing to stake me in 5/10 I might just stick with it to avoid the stress.
I agree with you that grinding 1/3 and making only 20/hr. Would be extremely tedious, thankfully as you c am see from the graph I'm in crush mode atm so that's not a problem. The main goal of the 1/3 stake wasn't to make a ton of money or build the roll but more just to show my buddy/backer that I would take it Seriously and get me back into the groove of things

Played a 7 hour session last night at bellagio. Finished +91. Pretty frustrating session never really could get anything going. Only reason I made any money was because I was able to push some big bluffs though. Got a buddy who is hooking it up with a comped table for the major lazer show at 1oak. Wifey is putting together some pretty sick ninja outfits for a buddy and I. I'll have pics tomorrow. It's gonna get weird. If you see 2 guys with a neon orange and green ninja outfits say what's up.

So yup no major lazer. ******* club promoter that offered to hook it up after I mentioned to him I was going to the show hit me up around 9 letting me know that out comped table got bumped. No biggie he says he will still walk us right in when we are ready. Welp is all I cans say about that. My buddy and the 2 chicks we knew get there make eye contact with homeboy he comes over tells us 5 minutes. Super legit we think because this place was an absolute madhouse. Well an hour and 45 minutes later we just decide to leave. Pretty ******ed.
On top of that we lost at poker while President gaming. Then the chicks i was trying to hook my buddy with said they would come by the house never showed up. Pretty sure we got scooped and sent the opponent into fantasy land.
On the bright side we now have sick outfits for edc next year and have decided once a month the ninja outfits will be broken out for drunk pokers. Never heard back from the promoter either. Standard Vegas.

not really surprised to hear that a comped table got "bumped" at a ML show! ML performs like once a month (if that) in LV, and they usually make it more of an experience/show with themes...so even if not a ML fan, itll be a good show and i think attracts more "regular" people!
