Just be careful playing with a 3k bankroll. Not sure if you realize this, but there is a huge difference in comfort level and what you can by in for when $3000 is all the money you have in the world compared to when, say, $6600 is all the money you have in the world. At least, that's what I hear! Just keep that in mind when you are playing. Good luck!

I lived in SW las vegas. Torrey pines and Trop. Its a nice area out there. Just far enough away from the strip to be a normal neighborhood like anywhere else.
The slot machines in the grocery store are a little different, especially when you see some women with a grocery cart full of groceries and playing slots while the ice cream melts. lol

just got to my room at the rio to sleep, rolls $6400, and ill probably be awake around midnite to 1am, if my friend sickcallmggee comes to get me from the 4 queens, (where i got him a free room) ill be playing downtown instead of here when i wake up, not sure what his sleep hours will be or mine. but i had to get him his own free room, ive never shared a room with a guy and i intend to go the rest of my life without doing so. thats only for the broke and desperate. i dont like playing at the rio. they give u $2 chips, and the game sucks. but im not the one with the car. i wanted to play deepstacked and buyin no less than $400, so i really wanted to play the golden nugget.
