Hey SBSD did you watch that clip?

If not, you should.

If so, I hope you found it as hilarious as I did.

The first minute is Srsly one of the funniest poker clips I have seen.

Either fold JJ pre or get it in like you did. There is no raise folding here

However, in general.....

1) I would prefer to call or fold over raise

2) If you decide to raise, raise $100 is preferable than all-in
-Why? Because the way I read it, if he calls that $100/re-raises all-in you are WAAAY behind
-Basically, when you shove with JJ, you are almost never getting called by worse

3) I feel it's very iffy to assume dude doesn't have it b/c he showed BS bluff before
-People do things like that on purpose to set-up bigger plays

4) This is why I am a big fan of long sessions
-I really don't care about losing/folding the $100 b/c I know I will make it back as long as I stick it out at the table
-Before you think about what you will make if you win, remind yourself that not all your $ needs to be made in one hand
-This reduces your volatility, and actually allows you to play higher stake games without unnecessary BR swings

5) The fold actually sets-up other plays
-Ie) now the table thinks you can be pushed around
-You wait for his over-aggression and smack them for a 300BB pot
-You just need one hand, to make your night

Cheers,

S
This is gold......... jamie gold!

He had done tho silly raise size earlier and showed 72 afterwards. I didn't think he was doing something like that again and felt his range was 88-qq and ak aq. I didn't think he would do that big sizing with AA or KK seeing how you would think he would want some action. So with the range I gave him and me having JJ I just put him all in. He calls with KK and holds. Wouldn't mind hearing opinions on that hand from or resident LVL guys. I got tomorrow off so I'm going to try and put in some decent hours tonight assuming the games are good. Will update with results
The best thing done in all of this was the guy advertising 72.

Was this $1-3?

Getting JJ in vs a spaz with 50bbs cant be horrible because I think getting QQ in is standard and TT is a pretty easy fold.

This is a fold pre(not what I would do) or a smooth call knowing you need to improve/flop well.

this hand can be played differently with different SPR's but with no other information other than what was posted above($34-$150), I definitely smooth call that spot hoping to improve post flop.

If you had some history where you could justify getting it in for $150 before the flop, then I might understand... but even showing a bluff of 7/2 previously is still smooth call in my opinion because if he is doing something similar again(highly doubtful), he can't really proceed post flop with that hand once he's actually called by hero pre flop.

the tricky part comes post flop when the board is 752 and you check it out to induce a bet and he barrels that wet'ish board for $120.

$26/hr seems like a really good winrate at 1/2 given how brutal rake and tipping are.

Tipping is what you make it. Tough to find large rooms with $4 max rake.

.
folding this pre with 50bbs effective is absurd unless the pf raiser is exceptionally nitty.

He wasn't at all. And in fact had made the same type of raise with 72off as well as like 88 or something if I remember correctly

So in typing this on my phone from work so I'm going to keep it short. As I said before my wife hated her job and poker was not going as well as I liked so last November I got a job and quit the pokers. I spent what I had in my roll on who knows what and basically didn't play for about 5-6 months. This was a very boring part of my life.
Around late may a buddy of mine decided he wanted to stake me in 2/5 but wanted me to earn it first by grinding out a 10k profit at 1,3, so begin my venture back into poker. I am only getting in 20-25 hours a week but I do have to say things have been going well. I got around a 140ish hours at 1,3 and a 25 hour week of 2,5. (2,5 week not in graph) I ended up netting I think a 3400 week in the 2,5 games.

I was gonna post my graph but it isn't working. I'll post it shortly. Any questions feel free to shoot.
