I wish you the best of luck for your kids sake but seriously, even with a wife making 33k a year and a 10k bankroll, having two kids kinda trumps that. I am a similiar age with a wife that makes much more than that, hell so do I. I would never subject my family to that lifestyle. You did get robbed for 1800 or whatever over a sports debate, got kicked out of a casino. You are in no shape to be making life changing decisions for your family on such a limited income. You must have some good friends/family to fall back on. I mean NOONE in the right mind would be this big of a degen.

Edit...I don't even have kids... that'd be like me packing up the trunk and heading to Vegas and playing 50/100. It is just unreasonable and destined to fail unless you have more backing you up. Which has to be true. Hell, I had no problem playing 25/50 with my last 5k online cause more is in the bank if I go broke.

The reason you feel this way is because you are his age and paranoid about your future. Both you and Imakeposts are young enough to sew oats, give it a shot, and easily recover to a good normal stiffs lifestyle if all fails.

You should give it a shot Villain. It is cliche, but life is short.

Also this is far from a life changing decision. Probably the most riculous point in your post.

Also people keep saying I degened it up yet I can't seem to find where that was. I have placed 2 bets outside of poker since I got here and that was 2 bac bets and I won them both. I did get robbed back in febuary when I was here on vacation but that had nothing to do with a sports argument like Villian1 said, I it was me just getting taken advantage of while drunk.. Something that will never happen again.. I was also on vacation then and not thinking as clearly as I am now that my family is here with me. I will be successful in this endeavor that I am confident about. Anyways I gotta get to the track, and I got some ponies to bet....

Just curious....Is the wife 1000% with the plan, or is there subtle (or not so subtle) pressure on your decision to play poker, and the time away from home involved to play? Pretty hard to find a good woman accepting of the poker life and the hours involved. Just hard enough to find a good woman

Idk I played 35-45 a week for a year+.. Then a ton of random hours over the years

Her family was ok with me playing poker for a living, and mine I had to ease into it a little bit.. In regards to moving here no one was overly happy but everybody understood the reasoning behind it and gave us full support

Another good night again last night. + 157bb over 1.5 hours.. Had something come up that caused me to cut my session short.. I plan on putting in a good amount of hours in tonight and tomorrow.
