I have a mind that understands poker. But no self control and a very action oriented personality. I'm thinking about trying trying to get those two flaws fixed and then follow in imakposts footsteps and grind poker. Not in Vegas yet but in Seattle. If I decide to do this I will swear off table games and will be hiring an assistant to hold my bankroll and come with me to make sure I don't degen or start getting out of line. I'm about to graduate school and don't have any real idea what else I want to do with my life ATM so I thought this would be fun. I'll be working a couple part time jobs umpiring some baseball games and reffing some basketball an football games in order to make sure I have enough money to pay rent and live on.

I wish you nothing but the best, but from experience it's very hard. Id take a significant amount of time off from gambling at all, then slowly come back to poker.

Maybe a second level thinker might think he's isolating or making a move, but once he leads out on the flop, they'd put him on TPTK at a minimum.

I've played plenty of 1/2. Even the dopiest mouth breather realizes this is a strong hand. The move is just so passive aggressive and stands out.

For the record I completely agree with you. I've found that sometimes those dopy mouth breathers still like to stack off. Also in the game the average raise was 12-16 pre. with the people doing most of the pre flop opening being on my left I thought I'd be backraising with like 45-75 in the pot.. I would never have done this play if I knew the open was only going to be to 7...
