You may want too check out the 1/3 nl at treasure island...they have a good promo going now...60 hours of play a week pays you $599 cash...easy money pay out starts at $50 for 10 hours...good luck

Esp. since you are doing it for a living, I actually say cash game is the way to go. The gain/loss is much more consistent, which is better for your sanity and financial stability.

There is a cool guy[name-delete] who works in the Nike store in MB. He is a scratch golfer or close anyway, and played poker for a living for a few years. Maybe look him up. Oh, and about that KQ top 2 v. nut str8 hand. With no read on the villain, I think you have to factor in that this is a Vegas 1/2 game. IMO you're getting raised by a hand you're beating, or a hand that might fold later approximately .037% of the time in these games. If I am in that situation I muck it after about 3 seconds of careful consideration.

I am nowhere near the player that you are OP, but I have spent many (many) hours in these games. I just think that you're ahead in this particular spot (as you described...1/2, no reads etc.) rarely enough that continuing after the raise is not profitable imo.

But srsly, you'll be beating the 2-5 before you know it. The key is to not get over ambitious given so much is on the line. Seems like you know all of this though and do have the disipline to succeed. I wouldn't keep bluffing at 1-2 tho in unnecessary spots like the A7. It did work this time but when it doesn't there's nothing worse than losing to bad 1-2 players. Play it safe. It'll take less of a toll on you emotionally.

Thanks for your input as well, and I agree with you that running advanced bluffs on bad players is an easy road to spew town this bluff was done vs the other decent thinking player at the table. if it had been anybody else making that cr I would never be putting in a cold 4bet like that.
