Just really hard to raise a family playing poker full time. Don't see many poker pros with familys, they mostly end up divorcing. How are you saving for retirement right now? What is the most winning sessions have you put together in a row? Your biggest down swing?

Idk I've had moNths where uh only had maybe 4 or 5 losing nights. Um bad swings ran ****y for for six weeks but nothing really. I'm serious when I say I'm a pretty strong player. Only reason why I'm not playing higher is obligations I had at home money wise that I don't have out here per my wifes raise. norcal cost of living is a lot higher then here in vegas as well. I would have no chance buying a house anytime soon there where here im 1-2 years away from it.

When it comes down to it I already said if Im not playing 5.10 or higher by the time I'm 30 I'm getting job and giving up fulltime poker. If I go busto or something I get a real job for the time being then move back to cali when my lease is up. I'm 27 right now and my kids are very young. I have a supportive family and excellent br control.

Going to be honest not thinking about retirement that much but what 20 something year old poker player that's not playing big stakes is. And my wife, extremely loyal and supportive. So as long as I don't get caught with my dick out of my pants im good there .Long story short I'm not worried. u wanna worry for me feel free, I'll give ya my moms number y'all can worry together

No worries honestly people got questions or real opinions I got answers. Adds something to the thread I suppose.
Also once I meet more people or as friends start to visit ill have more stories and what not. Just hard to do anything when o know no one

At 860 . Table was very fun and lively for first 5 hours, boring as hell now. Killing my motivation because of that. Just stacked someone with AKd win I turned nutter butters with a flush. Little more motivation now lol

Well, obviously betting on someone going broke/failing at pokerz is not only a little rude, but it's a bet that may be a bit difficult to collect on.

Playing 1/2 with a family to support does sound tragic at first, but considering the wife has a fulltime job and imakeposts is a proven winning player (I presume) with enough cash in the bank and with plans on moving up if successful, the only problem I see is organising childcare.

Enjoying your thread. I think your chances are excellent BTW. Supportive wife with a decent job is the nuts and you certainly appear to have the skills and mindset.

I have a question about this hand if you don’t mind sharing. Admittedly, often my only plan for the turn is to reevaluate based on the action, turn card and so on. My question is how do you handle the turn here if deep stack reg just flats your raise and checks to you on a brick turn?

There are several reasons for my question that I won’t bore anyone with at this time. A couple other miscellaneous things that come to mind for me here is the fact that this was a limped pot and the button / original bettor is still left to act behind me.

Make sure you not only keep a log of your P&L, also keep a poker journal. Write down any significant hands (both good and bad). Review them and discuss them with people who are good players.
