harrahs properties nearest me (New Orleans and Biloxi) are $14.99 and $9.99 respectively. Cant really complain about that when a room isn't going to cost me more than $20 w/ tax. Will be interesting to see if they raise any time soon.

Hey.
I have a question about room rates @ Aria.
It requires 5h/day. Is that 5h/day or can we do 10h day one and 0h day two and still acquire it?

And how are the rooms? Is it possible to stay 3 people in the room (and how much extra does it cost to be 3 instead of 1-2)?

Cheers.

These resort fees are really getting annoying. I was just pricing some Vegas trips, which usually results in reservations. But not this time. And it's not just the resort fees - the land of deals has gradually evolved into the land of total ripoffs.

I might just implement my own personal Vegas boycott in 2016 - no superbowl, no WSOP trip. It will be strange, but there are no shortage of fun destinations that seem to want my business a lot more. Time to vote with my wallet.

Super 8 motel now has a resort fee! I have been staying at airbnb rentals instead, great idea if you have a car.

For an extra fee you're guaranteed a room that nobody has died in.

To be fair, it is attached to a casino, but I was still surprised.

The rooms are very nice, but not good for 3 people (no couch)

I'd recommend Venetian instead for that reason.

Also no need to pay extra for the 3rd person, just say you are a group of 2 but ask for 3 keys at check in. They'll always give you extra keys for no charge and with no questions asked.

Any thoughts on MGM Signature Apartments?

They're nice but have no self-parking. Valet only, which can be a pain and/or delay you when you want to go somewhere.

Are clean sheets included with the resort fee?

How long does it take for them to get your car?

It depends on which tower you're in. My understanding is there is only one parking lot and if your tower is the farthest it can take 10 minutes or longer. If you call down from your room, they go fetch it as you come down. Usually only a couple minutes then unless they're busy. Bad thing is they close down at midnight in the two towers that aren't near the lot and you get to schlep back to your tower. And sometimes you don't want to give your car over to a valet driver. I don't let anyone drive my personal car except my mechanic.

What do you mean by schlep? If I return after midnight will they park my car if I'm not in the right tower?

There are three towers and the valet is only open at one of them after midnight. Last time I stayed there I was staying in tower 3 and the valet parking was only open at tower 1. Dropped it off at tower 1 and walked to my room.

Has anyone ever stayed at the Silver Sevens Casino off of Flamingo? I will be in town the opening weekend of the NCAA Basketball Tournament and am having a difficult time finding any reasonable rates. AAA rate was $107.

I haven't stayed there but I've been there several times although moreso when it was Terrible's. it's not a bad place if you just want a place to have as a base of operations.

Three nights in June. Likely solo (± my brother, and with friends in town at the same time).

Plans are mostly poker at Bellagio, Aria, PH, MGM.
Previous four visits I stayed at Rio, TI, TI, and Vdara.

Don't like the Rio rooms or the casino. I might be playing in daily tourneys there but not any multi-day WSOP events. TI was nice and good access to Venetian, but their pool sucks unless you want to stand in the water drinking Bud Light Lime and listening to loud music. I wouldn't mind a better pool, but it's also super hot after 10 am...so can't see lots of pool time. Also staying at a place with nicer restaurants is a plus.

Slightly leaning towards Mlife because my last trip was at Vdara and I have more points on Mlife than on TR. But the TR offers are better, for some reason.

Talk me out of a free room at Rio by recommending one of the following. All are +resort fee

per night:
$15 Flamingo (TR)
$30 Linq (TR)
$67 TI
$81 Mirage (Mlife)
$97 Planet Hollywood (TR)
$131 MGM (Mlife)
$140 Vdara (Mlife)
$147 Venetian
$188 Aria (Mlife)

So normally I would say PH because of the location, but that's about $400 for three nights, whereas Rio would be $90 (just the resort fees) and that's a big difference.

I don't spend a lot of time in the room, but I like being able to check back to the room a few times during the day for changing clothes, nap, brief downtimes . So for that reason I don't want to stay at Rio and use the savings for cabs and food. Though it is slightly tempting.

Thoughts?

Flamingo for sure. Perfect central location to where you are going to be. Hotel is decent enough.
