Agree. The Mirage is fine. Probably rates higher than all Harrah's properties except for Caesars. Itr is a Mid-range MGM property. Short walk to the V poker room.

Just noticed you're from Denver, if you've stayed at Ameristar in Black Hawk the 2nd level rooms at Mirage are very similar.

What was Excalibur's walk-up rate? Just curious- is this your first time staying in a hotel?

Regarding Vdara

@evagaba: Ask yourself what's more important, the money saved or the room quality? Since you have a car, you can cook some simple meals in the room instead of eating out all the time.

@smokey: Ask yourself the relevant pros/cons question suited for you.

For me, if I'm going solo its the cheapest option. Otherwise it's Vdara or Cosmo.

.......LOLOLOLOLOL....... I travel all around the county and have stayed in well over 200 hotels......... Gold Coast.... #1 WOAT, and that required some work.
Walk up rate exact same as internet rate. They were happy to book the room. I want to take the room housekeeper home, she crush cleans the room everyday...(surprised again)

******** walked thru a gauntlet of working girls propin on the way in at PH last night at appx 2:30 AM.... , and I mean proped 10+ X in 500' walk

This comes as a surprise?

Sometimes when I am playing at Bellagio or PH and I am starting to feel crusty, I'll take a walk outside and lay a bet with with myself as to how many times I get propositioned in a 20-30 minute period. It's not scientific but it's especially frequent between PH and Harrah's.

M-Life site utilizes deceptive tactics to make their prices look lower than they are. I'd you are booking 5 days it will say something to the effect of "rates starting at $30/night" when in fact the base price for Wednesday may be $30 while the base price for Th-Sun may be well above $100/night. This is one of the main reasons I do not book m-life hotels.

In the 4+ years I've been here, I've only ever been propositioned by people looking to buy or sell drugs, never a hooker.

Not sure what that says about me.

Actually, Mlife phrases it 'Rates From'. I agree it's misleading, but surely not a reason to stay away from M life (lol).

I beg to differ. A company that employs deceptive tactics like this is not the type of company I want to do business with.

Since I've stayed in Vegas about 35 days over the past couple months I would hope they miss the business. I haven't stayed at the Linq yet. Heard it's not bad. Am at the Cromwell right now and love it.

Anyone who says she's a schoolteacher from Canada is a hooker. For that matter any woman who approaches you at a casino late at night is a hooker.

You're more attractive/less desperate looking than me and you look like a drug dealer?

Never been approached at Bellagio, and that's where I mainly play and sport some (yawns) impressive chip stacks ..?

Bellagio hookers do not care about poker. :-)

I have been hit up at the bar once and the north valet a few times while waiting for my car. Not nearly as funny as the endless gauntlet of I'm stretching my,legs between PH and Harrah's.

I've seen quite a bit of business being negotiated at that bar right outside the brush area.

Just bk from from 1 week @ Tropicana and 1 week @ TI.

we had bed bugs ( huge ones) @ Tropicana never going bk. Plus the casino is a cemetery. Only thing going for it is the pool area which is nice.

Don't understand all the hate for TI I thought it was great considering the price. Across the street from venetian and decent enough rooms. Would recommend.

100% agree. I can't understand it when you consider how nice/clean the rooms are for the price.

For me it's the smell. I can't get over the piped in aroma at TI
