I have defs shuttled from Harrah's to Rio for WSOP before, although not since 2008 probably...

P.S. I originally typed "****tled" and it made me LOL, just wanted to share.

Yes they do. Inside the casino there are signs that tell you where to go.

Have the MGM rooms been renovated? I read earlier that the rooms were pretty dated

Ill be there October this year and interested of my group is now moving towards the MGM, anything I should know?

Also how big do their rooms get? Is it possible to get 3 people in a room, preferable a bigger than normal room

I'm annoyed. For like $100 more I can stay at Mirage and book a room with volcano view - Should I just do this? Or is it not worth the extra money? Both have nice pools, and are in good locations...I don't know. I'm pissed I missed the deal last night.

EDIT I'm stupid, it's the Monte Carlo I can stay at for $100 more, not Mirage. Getting my prices mixed up. Blah.
I'd still probably choose the Flamingo. Although the resort is slightly nicer than the Flamingo, I think the location is much worse and saving $100 would be worth it to me.

I know this doesn't matter but if it was the Mirage for $100 more I would choose that over the Flamingo

Thanks, yeah I agree with you I booked Flamingo. I'll keep checking my comps though if something good comes along for the Mirage I'll cancel and rebook there. I really want to stay there but I'm cheap.

Give VIP marketing a call and ask for Mirage rates. I often do much better over the phone than on mlife.com aka the website designed by a team of stillborn monkeys.

Taking my wife back to vegas for our anniversary. She just wants a nice view. I was wondering if i should go with go luxary with view at flamingo or stay at aria. We are staying sun-thurs so i could ask for a city room upgrade? Any suggestions thanks

Aria should be last on your list if the view is a priority- it has no good strip views. Their "city view" is nothing but a view of the portico and the crap-ass Hawaiian Village across the street. Other views include the north view of the wall that is Cosmopolitan, south to Monte Carlo, west to the pool or freeway.

For your anniversary, Cosmopolitan room with fountain view, or Venetian.

I didn't know this was even possible. I assumed all booking had to be done through the horrible website. I'll give this a try closer to my trip, thanks for the tip!

I've always had better luck on the phone with MGM properties than I have on the website, which truly, truly does suck.

Monte Carlo or Excalibur? (Perhaps Luxor as well)
MC is about $100-140 per person more expensive than Excalibur for the week, worth it?

Aria $99.00 a day poker rate. Just ask your wife if you can play poker for six hours a day or sneak in a daily tournament

Tell us:

1. How much the total cost is for each (and not just per person)

2. How many people you're talking about

It sounds from the way you phrased the question that you're looking at package deals, which sometimes are and sometimes aren't the best way to book.

And don't forget about the resort fees, all three places have them.

1. MC: €895 flight+hotel (ex resort fees), Excal: €820 f+h (ex resort fees)
2. 4, we're looking at 2 rooms for 2 each

A single plane ticket is €700 so a package is cheaper.

No edit button?

Anyway, with the EUR/USD rate being 1.30 at the moment, MC would be $1160(+70/80$ pp resort fees), Excalibur $1065(+$55 pp). Just the flight ticket is at $910.

That's how we got to those numbers. Since it's 'only' 10% of the total travel price, I'm curious what you'd recommend.

I guess since the difference in cost is marginal relative to the total cost of the trip, I'd pick Monte Carlo since it is marginally better than Excalibur in every respect.

Since gambling doesn't matter, stay at Cosmo or Aria on the weekdays.

On the weekend, you can do Tropicana (newly renovated!) or MGM (Also newly renovated!). PH is good too.

Please avoid TI, Luxor etc at all cost.

Cheers,

I'm staying at TI for March Madness.....what's so bad?

Is there any laundry/cleaning service in or around Harrah's? I'll be staying for 25 days in June. Don't really want to hand wash all my cloth.

Flamingo or MGM? Flamingo is marginally cheaper. Pool is important (May trip).

I'd say MGM normally (probably my go-to) but haven't stayed at Flamingo before and others in my group are suggesting it. Looks like it comes down to superior location of Flamingo vs. superior everything-else of MGM? We're low-stakes gamblers if it matters. Proximity of Flamingo to Venetian poker room would be nice but I probably won't get to do that much poker.
