There might be one or two, I think Planet Hollywood has a suite like that, maybe Mandalay Bay. In general, very rare. Most suites are one-king per bedroom. If you want three people in separate beds, you'll be in separate rooms (perhaps adjoining).

Most suites unfortunately only have 1 King as an option for the bedroom, but some (most that I've seen at least, small-medium sample size) will also have a pull-out sofa bed. Generally hotels will offer a rollaway bed by request, usually at an additional nightly charge. Whenever I've booked trips for 3-6 people everyone ends up wanting their own bed, so we book two or three 2 Queen rooms. Once I ended up getting one suite and two 2 Queen rooms in the same hotel and we all hung out and pre-gamed in the suite.

I meant to also include: Some of the Flamingo GO Suites have 2 queen beds. On Youtube look up "Flamingo Go Room Mini Suite" and one of the first few videos should show it.

yeh thx

on previous trips we have done the double queen rooms but it usually means someone is stuck sharing with someone they dont like. We were hoping we'd be able to find something to fit all 3 of us because we are willing to pay more etc and the rest of the group could do what they wanted but we'll probably just have to do the usual trick

a seperate note, is the Wynn worth the extra price? Might be in Vegas on a seperate occasion either on my own or with my partner and thinking of staying at the Wynn. Usually stay the Aria but the Wynn does seem incredible

And is the comp system any good? How many craps hours will I need to put in to make any decent dint in the room cost?

FWIW, we stayed in a regular GO Room (non-suite) in November and it had two Queens, was on 27th floor if that helps at all.

Wynn is nicer than Aria, but I wouldn't pay that much more for it. They're basically the same class of hotel.

And before I attempt an answer at your craps question, let us know how much you typically bet.

$15-$25 pass line with full odds
5 units inside always sometimes outsides and hardways. Always pressing about 30-50% and never stop, will press pass 1k etc if the roll allows

Will bet 10 units if running hot 25-100 BJ when I feel like playing it

Really don't know how much I'd play on my own but I think it would be a lot. Minimum 6 hours a day unless I run into an awful downswing to start and slow down to survive

I made my first trip (finally) to Vegas last month on a business trip and we stayed at Treasure Island. Our trade show was in the Sands Convention center which is behind and attached to the Venetian. I had been warned that TI wasn't that nice of a place and not to expect much. All those people were wrong, when it came to the property and rooms.

Everything, from the front doors, lobby, casino floor, restaurants, hallways, rooms etc was very nice, very modern and very clean. Granted the casino floor is small and has low ceilings compared to most of the other big name casinos, but I wasn't there to play slots, so I didn't care.

The room was a standard two queen room and it was excellent. Everything looked brand spanking new, from the flat screen all the way to the bathroom fixtures. I've stayed in alot of (non-vegas) casinos and the TI room was as nice as any hotel room I've ever been in. It wasn't a huge room but it wasn't cramped either. I'm not really sure what else anyone could ask for, unless you just wanted a really big room.

The location is great if want to play poker at the Venetian. The walk from my hotel room to the V poker room was about 7-10 minutes tops. Very easy walk and it felt very safe at night.

The TI buffet was so-so at best. The food was good, but the selection was very small and not worth $23. The Asian restaurant excellent, some of the best I've had. Plate were $16-$22 and there was enough food for 2. The Coffee Shop, as they call it, is just an American restaurant and the food was good, but not much cheaper than the Asian place.

I'm going back next month with my wife on a vacation/poker trip and we are staying at TI again. I researched prices all up and down the strip and for what you get and the close proximity to the V poker room, I couldn't beat it.

**EDIT**

I didn't even mention the poker room at TI, which is actually very telling....it's quite forgettable. I was there 4 nights, Mon-Thur. and there was never more than one $1/3 game going. The room was small and glassed in and it sort of reminded me of a kiddie arcade room in the mall 20 years ago.lol

The first night I was there (Monday), I walked up to the room and looked through the glass and I saw a 3 handed NL game going. The dealer dealt the cards and the button auto mucks. The SB looks at the BB and indicates he wants to chop and the BB raps, pulls his blind back and open folds A7. I thought to myself, if you are playing 3 handed and chopping the blinds with A7, what hands are you waiting on? AA and KK? Sheesh.

I'm trying to decide if booking a room at Aria for the poker rate (I believe that is $99/night + resort fee) is worth the extra cash. I've stayed at Aria once before and the rooms are amazing. The problem is, I'm solo on this trip. If I was with my wife, it would be the Aria all the way, however, this is strictly a poker playing trip.

The Quad has a great location and is definitely no frills. I'll end up playing a fair amount at the Aria on the trip regardless of where I stay so making the required hours/day will not be an issue if I choose the poker rate option. I normally split my time playing $2/$5 NL between Aria/Bellagio/Venetian.

So, it comes down to whether I want to spend an extra $300 or so to not have to deal with possible construction noise and the ability to just walk downstairs and play versus walking the strip for a bit.

Thoughts?
3/4 of my Vegas trips I stayed at quad. Great place if no girl with you and its strictly a poker trip

Craps minimums at Wynn are $10 weekdays/$15 or more evenings and weekends with 3/4/5 odds. What you describe is $65-75 in action at all times, exclusive of free odds, which at Wynn will only very slightly move the needle in terms of comps. You will have to call the host on duty the morning of your checkout (if you don't have a host), or visit whoever is working the little host office next to the cage, and beg; and you'll be lucky if they cover the room. Your comps will also depend on whether your stay is on weekdays or on a weekend, holiday or convention period.

Hi all,

Planning a month long trip in June for Vegas. Where is the cheapest place to stay that is within walking distance from The Strip? I do not have a driver's license.

I looked on Expedia and circus circus is around $40 a night, but I heard that place is crappy.

Not that it would make much difference but 5 units inside is $110 per roll, if the point is an inside number then it's still at least 95$ action if you don't include the odds bet. Again I can only stress this is the minimum and I'm often betting hardways or 4s and 10s and pressing

But yeah I dont expect to wave the cost of the room but if I could bring the cost down to a figure that's not that different from what I'd get at an MGM property then I'd really consider the Wynn

Thx for the info

I’ve read the whole thread and I’ll pitch in with some hotels that haven’t been talked about much here.

El Cortez:
The best value of the places I have stayed downtown
The tower room has a separate living space which is nice
Very clean rooms
Nice low limit gambling with low minimums
Decent sportsbook
Everything economical including room prices
Cortez Café is solid and the Flame Steakhouse has reasonable prices

Vintage rooms are small and have old features
The walk from Fremont St to El Cortez isn’t the best

Four Queens:
Very inexpensive rooms
Hugo’s Cellar is a great hidden gem downtown
Fremont St Experience just outside the door

The room I stayed in was very cramped and smelled pretty bad
Overall the casino was very worn down
No room service
No poker room

Stratosphere:
Fairly low limit gaming for being “on” the strip
Poker room had games running almost 24/7
Fun rides at the top of the hotel

Location is terrible
Room was small and not very appealing to the eye
Top of the World restaurant very overrated
Very long walk to each end of the casino

Riviera:
The newly remodeled rooms are 430 sq ft and are good quality
Flat screen TVs and pool area is improved
Low limit gaming for being on the strip
Leroy’s sportsbook is spacious and has separate entrance which is nice
Very reasonable rates, very good poker rate

Poker room is very small and games run sporadically
Older rooms are worn and should not be used
Location is still a bit too far north for me
Not a lot of good selection of food

I'll write some reviews of some strip hotels shortly

THEhotel Mandalay Bay:
The suites here are fairly large (at least for my own standards) at 725 sq ft and stayed here comfortably with 4 other people. The décor was modern and of high quality. The added ½ bathroom was a nice touch since we had quite a few people staying in the room. The walk to the Mandalay itself is just off the elevators and was really one of the great experiences I’ve had in a hotel. It was during the winter so I did not get out to the pool but I have heard it is pretty awesome.

The only real drawback is the location is very far south on the strip. Also, the poker room has some pretty odd rules and I generally avoid playing there. A great hotel and I have found it is much more reasonably priced than other spots like the Bellagio and Venetian.

Wynn:
I think people have been pretty spot on with the reviews of this hotel. I stayed here about 5 years ago and was barely 21 at the time. I was very impressed with the room and amenities. The poker room was very comfortable and the service/dealers were top notch. I love the sportsbook and the few restaurants and the buffet I ate at were very solid. The pool area was also of good quality with great service.

As the years progressed I noticed a change in the guests becoming younger and generally more obnoxious. The poker room I now mostly avoid on my trips since the amount of regs in games is very high and have had recent bad experiences with dealers there. At this point the location is a bit too far north for me as well and the walk is very long to get back into the central area.

I would not mind staying here again but I just think there are better options out there.

Ballys:
I have stayed here at least four times and am always happy with how clean the rooms and hall areas are. The rooms are very standard and not very large but I have never had any issues. I am a big fan of the sportsbook area and also really liked the poker room in regards to the action and subpar play. I understand they have moved the room towards the front of the casino which is better for an aesthetic standpoint since the previous location was a bit cramped and noisy. It’s a standard Caesars property that is reasonably priced and does it’s job.

The food in this resort is sub-par in my opinion. The café and buffet are both poor in my opinion and the small Mexican restaurant had very awful food. I’m a huge fan of margaritas and they were cheap so I won’t complain. The walk from the front of the casino to the sportsbook is quite long and can get old pretty quickly.

Excalibur:
I have stayed here a few times as well for economical reasons and am not a big fan. The positives are that in the past the poker room gets a lot of foot traffic and the play is pretty bad. I also like how the sportsbook is right next to the poker room and very convenient to walk to.

I only ate at the Prime Rib restaurant and it was fine but pretty much avoided all the other restaurants and fast food there. The resort is very old looking and just supremely outdated. The casino floor is just one long row of gaming tables. Drab and decrepit. The check-in lines were long every time and the walk can be excruciating from the front of the casino to your room. Along with the resort fee at MGM Resorts now, I would just avoid this property altogether.

Peoples thoughts on Treasure Island?

(Previous posts have been regarding a trip with my gf, but have a seperate trip in October with a large group of friends)

Looks like we are staying at treasure island because 1) it fits the budget of a few of the 'first timers' on this trip and it also got a great review from a wealthy friend who stays there all the time

Ive never been too sure about it, in my 4 trips to Vegas I dont think I've ever actually walked inside of it tbh

Is it worth trying to get relocated or just go with it?

Just go with it. I'm pretty picky tbh, and I had a ball there. Room was new and clean, bed comfy enough, and that perfect mix of dark casino with hilarious patrons that makes for a good time with your buddies.

Super quick walk to the V, or anywhere you want to go mid strip.

Didn't eat anywhere at TI, but the casino was fun and the rooms are nice.

I liked TI quite a bit, and would have no problem booking again even if it's a "wife" trip. Modern decor, comfortable beds.

Alright, mega hotel options post of the low-end variety. Going back to Vegas end of March for three nights for a wedding. Wedding is at Mandalay Bay, but don't feel a need (at all) to stay there or even too close to there, and would probably prefer not too, as I plan on spending a decent amount of time at the Venetian poker room. Total Rewards giving me some pretty decent options, but of the Caesar's hotels I've only stayed at Harrah's. Last time (last week) stayed in a classic room with no view, which was fine and would do again at decent price. Also stayed in what I think was a Mardi Gras tower room with strip view and TV in the bathroom; not sure what the "name" of the room was. Anyway, would love some thoughts on the below deals and an idea on how to rank them. Hopefully answers will help others. Prices are for all three nights. Going with wife, but she has explicitly excluded higher end/higher priced places in order to focus on the gambling.

The Quad
Offering a Deluxe room for free. Also offering Deluxe King Suite for $260, but I can't possibly imagine upgrading at IP would be worth it.

Harrah's
- Classic for $44.80. Having just stayed in a classic, this wouldn't be horrible. Wouldn't mind an opinion on whether it is worth $44 over free room at Quad.
- Luxury Strip View for $130. Searching looks like Luxury Strip View is simply a "Classic" room with a strip view, and a ****ty one. Not sure if worth it.
- Petite Suite for $191.08.

Flamingo
- Fab Deluxe for $110.00
- GO Deluxe for $182.92.
From what I've read, GO Deluxe is far superior to Fab Deluxe.

Caesars
- Roman Tower Room for $300. From what I've read these are their low end rooms, so I'm pretty much counting this one out.

Bally's
- South Tower Classic for $55.
- North Tower Deluxe for $130.

Any comments on any of the above would be appreciated.
