I liked that place. Neeme and Brad did a meetup game there a few years ago. It was packed. I liked the location right next to the interstate.

I recently stayed in one of the remodeled pyramid kings at the Luxor.

It had a new carpet, new furniture, newly decorated walls. The bathroom didn't seem that modern, though it was clean and the shower had good water pressure.

Overall the room was pretty decent for the price.

It was my first time staying at the Luxor and I wouldn't stay again. I found the casino to feel a bit dark and cramped (low ceilings), food options weren't amazing and things like the elevators (inclinators) were pretty beat up.

I like ancient Egypt and themed hotels though, so I don't regret staying there once.

I'm going to go for Park MGM next time. I like the southern side, away from the craziness of the centre, along with the tram to Aria and Bellagio I think the location would be perfect for me. Also a fan of the decor and Eataly.

Got a room at NoMad.

For me, personally, this might be my favorite place on the strip now. Besides Venetian I guess.

Problems: TV reception a bit spotty. It seemed like there was no wifi at all? I used my Hotspot, so nbd. I do like to torrent some stuff at hotels though.

I thought the decor was really cool. My room, which was not special, had a massive old fashioned bath tub, which I like. I liked the hard wood floors with the rug.

I also saw a Resorts World room recently and much preferred NoMad.

The thing is, park MGM was already my favorite mgm/cet property because it is so fast and convenient. It's easy to get in and out of, easy to go downstairs and grab a bit, close to the freeway (usually) and a short walk to several other resorts.

Good dining options. And you get the best offers there. Like, they treat Excalibur as a higher end place than Park.

This wouldn't necessarily apply if I went to Vegas occasionally. But as a utilitarian place to work out of, Park is great. Staying in a cool, creatively decorated place makes it a bit more fun.

stayed there last week , can confirm its one of the better standard rooms mgm has to offer. my friend loved the decor and aesthetics . heard a rumor that they might be going away, but add the 24 hour gym and the food truck right outside the elevators , ease of getting into parking, makes it a much much better option than Bellagio

Someone told me that staying at the Aria is like a normal good hotel experience while staying at the Venetian is like staying at the Vatican.

Confirm or deny?

i boycott Venetian but the rooms i have been to are awesome, way above Aria, .

aria elevator exit is right in the smack middle of the casino, walking to your car is a pain, not to mention they need more elevators.

I've stayed at over 12+ hotels in Vegas this last year or so. ill give reviews soon.

Confirm.

Haven't seen an aria room in years, but iirc it is just a normal, nice hotel room.

Standard Venetian rooms are 2 level suites. Very nice and have kind of a homey feel too.

Palazzo rooms are even nicer. Same size, exactly the same structure and layout. But feel even plusher and more special

I prefer the Venetian vibe though

Well, the last time I stayed at the Vatican...

Never stayed at Aria myself, too noisy. Not as noisy as when it first opened, but still noisy.

What hotel is nomad in?

The thing I don't like about Venetian is the rooms are really big. But not big in the way that impresses you. There's just a lot of square footage. Why wouldn't someone like big rooms, you ask? Because it attracts poor young people. There's enough space to sleep 4 in the beds and a couple more on the sofas, and a couple more on the floor. Maybe I run bad, but it seems like half the time I stayed there, the above described group was staying next door.

you are looking at this all wrong, think of all the times you hooked up with a girl staying at a hotel with 4 other friends partying at drais or Pure , tao , hakkasan XS and a big part of the reason was cause you had your own room

Impressed to see how many people have stayed at the Vatican. Didn't even know Vatican City had any hotels.

I haven’t stayed in there, but it has the biggest town square I’ve ever been to

If I play hooker/not a hooker with a friend at the V bars, what ratio should I roll hooker? 90/10? Or perhaps 80/20? Would that be GTO?

1. Are the women who are the subject of your speculation sitting completely alone at the bar ?

2. Are they for dressed up for attention ?

3. Most importantly, are they the least bit interested in conversation with your sorry-ass or your friend ?

If you answer yes three times, then 95% seems a likely % in my estimation.

(This is not being judgmental, it's just their living)

Your age, social graces, looks don't matter ... to a hooker you would look like a few Ben Franklins

Sitting alone or with a possible customer is a prerequisite for hooker / no hooker.

The numbers obviously change significantly if you count 10x no hooker at every bachelorette party.

FWIW, I doubt many non-hookers would even sit alone at one of those hotel bars because everyone would immediately assume they are hookers.

At our bar (no hookers at work as far as I know) the number of female customers who come in alone is close to zero. So a 90/10 split at a bar at the V seems realistic to me.

Thinking about doing vegas for Xmas.

Venetian or palazzo for 3 comp nights? I assume palazzo. I’ve stayed at the Venetian comped one time and found the room to be great.

Also any thoughts on mgm. Would you stay at aria for free with $100 comps for dinner etc or stay at lower property with $150 (park mgm, nomad, or worse property like Luxor or Excalibur- wouldn’t stay at one of the lower props). I would say prolly lower property like park mgm or nomad would be better as I’ll be gambling and no real need for better room. Thanks for thoughts.
