Perfect for me.

Flights to the west coast arrive from lolstraya at 7am (which is 1/2am ish Aus time) so by the time I’ve got through customs and got a connection to Vejas it’s generally 10-11am local time. A 2 hour nap at the airport would be perfect before checking into the hotel and having enough energy to stay up and out til bedtime

I stayed at Resort World again with a large group (other people wanted to try it). We stayed at Crockfords (The higher end brand at the hotel)

Pros:
1. The spa is the nicest in Vegas. Beautiful Co-ed area with hot and cold pools and a sauna with sauna shows.
2. Had a great dinner at Carver Steak (The Lobster En Croute was really good)
3. Great Dinner at Brezza
4. The Crockford has a nice lobby to sit and chat in.
5. There was a thera gun in the the room. (The hand held massager)

Cons
1. We had a lot of issue with room keys. The room key wouldn't let you go to the pool some days. We went to the front desk to have it corrected and the next day the same thing happened. Very annoying
2. A lot of people in our group didn't get their room made up (some had it missed 2 days in a row)
3. When calling down to the front desk (you were often on hold for 15 minutes
4. There were issues charging food items to our room.

In short, the resort has a few nice things going for it, but the really need to step up the service and fix the glitches.

This girl gives reviews of a lot of hotels - she kind of confirmed my suspicions on CP as a place that charges high end prices but not quite in that category.

I recently stayed at RW as well for a night. For some reason most non-dumps on the strip were all charging like $300 a night, but RW was more reasonable. Just the most basic Hilton room.

The room was nicer than I was expecting for being the lowest level room they offer. Liked the decor, clean, etc. Tons of food options, none of which blew me away but they're fine. I liked the vegan ice cream place.

My one major complaint is their EV charging situation is a nightmare. You can valet but it's $25, plus an extra $5 for EV charging. If you do self-park they have 5 stations, the parking spots for which are right next to the elevators on level 2. So of course, more often than not those spots are taken by lazy people who don't even have EVs but just want a spot close to the elevator. The other half of the time, there are EVs parked there but they're either not even plugged in to charge, or they're plugged in and not charging because the instructions on how to get it to start charging are so confusing that they didn't do it right. Really poorly planned setup.

Btw, has anyone gotten any decent comp offers from RW? Played a decent bit of VP while I was there, was wondering if I'd get any offers.

Caesars is maybe the biggest rip off on the strip. I've always felt claustrophobic in there. I feel like they're promoting their brand as this grandiose amazing Vegas experience but it's really just hot and crowded. Also they recently changed the layout so there's this little tunnel going from the front desk to the main casino floor which makes it even more claustrophobic! If you're going to pay top dollar over there i'd much rather stay at Bellagio or Aria and Bally's if you want the cheaper option. You can thank The Hangover for still tricking people into thinking it's the end all be all on the center strip. I stayed at the Nobu Hotel for one night when it was next to nothing since they were doing construction there. Nothing to write home about and I can't believe the prices of that place on the weekends. Completely ridiculous.

Caesars is essentially a 1960s floor plan that has been incrementally added to. It does not even approach the floor plans of places like Mirage or Bellagio. That's likely the reason one feels claustrophobic in there.

We stayed there as well and had room key issues. Especially on the elevators.

Oh its their policy to only clean rooms every three days unless requested we were told but we were in the Regular tower

I've also recently stayed at Resorts World. I walked through it last June to check it out, and have now stayed there this June.

My overall takeaway of the property would be that it was underwhelming. You don't need to leave the hotel casino, but you want to.

My wife and I stayed here during a Thursday - Sunday trip in June. We stayed in a suite at The Conrad. The hotel room was clean, spacious, and featured one of the better strip views I've had in Vegas. The accommodations were great, but the rest of Resorts World wasn't.

Pros: Clean, easy to navigate, and reasonable table limits. Variety of food and entertainment options.

Cons: Room key issues as well. Contactless to a fault. It felt like we were in the second half of Wall-E, just being fattened up while steered from screen to screen. My wife and I would jokingly play I-Spy to find Resorts World employees. Terrible customer service when we actually did need to interact with employees. There's no real vibe to the property, even after a concert it felt lifeless. A lot to see and do within Resorts World, but it's bland and there is nothing more noteworthy than other hotels. The pool/amenities are fine, but not better than their competitors in my opinion.

Considering the location and cost relative to the experience offered, I don't think I would stay at Resorts World again unless we had comps or more Hilton Honors points to blow.

This seems to be the norm at just about every hotel I've been at in the past couple years. It's fine with me, I don't need someone to clean the room daily.

Hello I am looking for some advices before I book a room for 2 weeks in december (playing the WPT at the wynn). I have been to vegas 4 times already, stayed in various places, mainly airbnb. But this time I am considering taking a hotel room.

I have already been to the Platinum wich was perfect for me but the prices doubled since my last visit in 2018 and when I see the price (250$/night including resort fees) I wonder if i could find another room or simply go again to the same bnb wich will cost me half the price.

I have 2 conditions : I need a smoking room (a balcony would be nutted), and a kitchen. And preferably, a non-gaming hotel.

I don't mind been outside the strip as I will rent a car.

Let me know if you know some good place!

You have already solved your puzzle. Go to the same AirBnB again.

You are searching for a unicorn, given all the requirements you posted and the fact you're renting a car.

In the past you could use Aria gym & pool at least while the Vdara facilities were closed. Never saw a reason to try Aria while gym/pool a Vdara were open though.

I've mailed them and no response. Previous experience with the people on the end of the phones is that they'll tell you anything!

yep, comments on trip advisor range from the above to 'yes, always'. Pool is only 10-4 and fitness center is 8-5.

Have you been to Vdara gym? Looks tiny on the photos?

It's pretty small compared to other Strip resort fitness centers. But large enough that it never bothered me.

Vdara is geared towards business travelers. Regarding the gym that means two things:
- Focus on cardio equipment
- Busy in the morning, empty the rest of the day

I'm pretty sure they opened earlier than 8AM in the past, that probably changed during the pandemic? Pool also was open earlier than 10 in the past. I don't remember what time exactly but I've been swimming "laps" in there before regular guests arrived.

The Siegel Suites on Bonanza or on Fremont?

I'm sure the rooms at either are fine and if you keep to yourself should be no issues, but definitely not great areas to wander around aimlessly or drunk after dark.

If you just need a hotel room and not amenities like kitchenette then some of the options on Fremont between and around Las Vegas Blvd & Main St. might be better in terms of safety and convenience.

Daniel Negreanu said that he used to live in a place called Harbor Island. I don't know if it still exists but maybe you can check it out.

It's near Holiday Royale and Virgin Casino.

Anywhere near downtown, 0r Sierra Vista & Flamingo, true.

However, once, when the floors and kitchen in our house were being renovated, we stayed at an "extended stay" place very near SouthPoint for about 4 weeks.

It was pretty decent.
