Paris used to do this also. But it was several yrs and pre COVID ago. COVID made no daily service a norm so possible this as a perk was dropped. However, I did stay at a non LV casino hotel recently. They did have their daily maid service back. So maybe hotels are going back toward pre COVID and such perks return also.

Some offer a small discount and for others, maid service is no longer included in the price of the hotel.

Eg I discovered while researching Hilton Elara Vegas that on check in they tell you that only the clean up post your final night is included and you then have to opt into a $32-50 additional fee if you want your room cleaned, bed made, fresh towels etc

Pretty sure that $10 food credit was a CET thing pre-covid (I also did it once in AC in 2018, I believe). Not sure if they have picked it back up, but I haven't been offered it in years.

Anything to worry about when staying at the Linq? I stayed there about 4 years ago and everything was fine but just wanting to make sure nothing has changed. I know it's a great central location and I'm a low roller so generally speaking, I'm aware of the limitations

That said, it should give you the "casino vibe" you seek.
thanks. poker room wouldn't be an issue for me...more if the room is dirty or it's too noisy

Went to Vegas for the first time last week, spent three nights at Bally's. Honestly for me I was drawn in by the more affordable price and the hotel stating that the rooms had been recently updated. When I got to my room I found there was a slight musty smell. The room itself was ok, but I only received housekeeping services one night of the three? Idk if I was supposed to pay extra or something, but that surprised me. The other thing I didn't like was that I was on the 25th floor, and as such was under the event rooms on the 26th. Lots of noise came through the ceiling which was pretty annoying. Gaming floor was pretty limited, and the crowd in the casino appeared to be of a lower class. Overall I wouldn't stay there again.

sorry to say, but if you were drawn in by the more affordable price, then the crowd you saw were of YOUR class, not lower.

Haha I see your point. I meant in that I hadn't been to Vegas before I wasn't aware of who stays where if that makes sense. Hard to have a starting point with no measuring stick.

yep...I hear you. I stayed at Harrahs as part of a meet up with other tpt llsnl guys 10 years ago....I had no idea about the property and figured it would be ok. this was pre the room make overs that Harrahs has done the past 5 years and not only were the rooms smoky, dirty and old but the clientele was definitely not 'my people'. the experience has tainted me ever since and despite agonising for weeks about resort choices, I always end up staying at premium properties over mid tier ones...just to ensure I don't have that same experience

Relative pricing is usually a reasonable starting point.

Looking at Bally's Jubilee Tower for later this summer. There is "strip view" and "pool view." From what I can tell from online reviews, Strip View overlooks the Paris pool toward the Eiffel Tower and the south end of the Strip. So what is the pool view then? I think I prefer the Paris pool/Eiffel Tower view (so Strip view?) but just want to make sure I'm booking the right thing.

I think I had a pool view at Bally's some time ago. Not much of a view, IIRC it's the back (east) side--so pool, parking, Ellis Island, etc. A bit noisy once the pool gets going, but not bad. I think I'd opt for the Strip View, if everything else is equal.

For a standard room, there's no way Aria/Vdara should be in a Tier 1 unless they recently refreshed those rooms. (They did do a refresh of the SkySuites recently).

I'd actually argue that the Waldorf Astoria within CityCenter is actually nicer than Aria.

Not that the property is terrible by any means, but to group Aria/Vdara into the same as Wynn/Encore is a stretch at the least.

Just hope it doesn't rain. Historically, like 3 years ago even, that would have been something to worry about. Not sure of what was done since, if anything.

At least the hotel, (the former MGM Grand) did not have a large multiple-fatality fire during your trip.

I was at Resorts World and they have that clean your room every third day policy as well

Does the MGM Resorts site sometimes not show all your reservations? This happened a couple time for me - had NYNY and MB and it only showed NYNY. I could find it by searching the confirmation number, but how hard is it to keep track of reservations? Almost seems like an angle.

CET hotels used to do that on longer stays. Don't know now that Eldorado owns them.

these sleep rooms are an interesting idea at the LV airport - had no idea they were this nice with showers, fitness, etc. Another thread was talking about trying to avoid Saturday night stays at hotels - this could be a solution by getting a nice nap in after an all-nighter.

edit: I see there only opened from 10 - 12 on Sunday when you might really want it - but that could give you enough rest to get to your Sunday check-in

Possibly pre-covid, but more importantly, pre-Eldorado. The biggest changes at CET are going to be because of Eldorado ownership.

Rooms by the hour. Sounds like something hookers would like.

Why such weird hours on Friday and Saturday? Friday they close at 6 pm? That's something I'd like to do overnight. Come in late Friday and don't want to pay high hotel rates just to sleep for a tournament starting Saturday.

Or play all night Friday and crash Saturday, but they're only open 5 hours on Saturday.

ok, I misread it- they are open 10 am to midnight on Sunday - still doesn't help much if you are trying to avoid paying for a Sat night strip hotel and need one of these rooms early Sunday.

It could be used after playing all-night Friday night until your Sat check-in on the strip

maybe their hours starting June will be better for Fri and Sat night overnighters
