Interested in povs on the rooms, the restaurants and pool/gym facilities if anyone has stayed at both?
thanks
I do!
Caesars will cost more, and I consider Caesars to be the most overpriced place on the strip. They’re charging a tax simply because they have existed for 50 years and there’s a certain kind of customer that will always buy that.
Caesars will have more room variety, since they have 47 different towers. The nicer ones are in Augustus or Octavius, but you’re really just paying for bigger. Mirage basically has two rooms (outside of suites)- the regular room and the slightly upgraded one that has a bigger bathroom. It’s a pretty standard room, slightly better than your next-tier-down. If staying there, go for the slightly upgraded (don’t remember what they call it) for the bigger bathroom, unless you want your knees touching the door when you take a ****. You will get more for your money at Mirage.
Restaurants are fairly lame at both. Nothing exciting. Mirage is better for standard issue coffee shop, Caesars has a food court and a better buffet. Caesars restaurants might be the most overpriced on the strip, but they do have more options. You just won’t be too excited about any of them.
Can’t say anything about the gym, and pool situation is probably better at Mirage.
Caesars is also massive while Mirage is just Vegas-normal. I’ve stayed at Caesars for weeklong conventions and it is absolutely soul-sucking after a while being in that labyrinth. Takes forever to go anywhere or even get to the strip.
Mirage really is the best choice for not luxury and not budget. It’s a solid B/B+. Caesars can burn down for all I care.
