Some of the rooms at FQ have been updated...I don't remember which tower. Biggest thing I remember is that you want a room AWAY from Fremont Street, although even those will come with ear plugs.
The showers in the renovated room had those fixtures with multiple jets from the wall in addition to the regular shower head.
Stayed at The D for three nights earlier this month. Room was certainly functional, albeit basic. If costs were the same, I would take the renovated tower in Four Queens due to the lack of resort fee. Although, being at The D will give easier access to Walgreens and a good sports book. Probably take Andiamo over Hugos Cellar in terms of the option of eating where I was staying...
