Hooters is probably 1 out of 5 stars. I would never consider staying there. For the location all the through the list it is terrible. Avoid at all costs.
Harrah's ls very low end but the location is good. For what you seem to need it for as per the other thread I would say it would be fine.
Ahh, kind of makes me sad....my very first trip to Vegas probably 15 years ago we stated at Hooters when it was the Hotel San Remo. I'm sure the room was trash, but I still remember the "strip view." Plus $3 steak and eggs late night.
Harrah's isn't fancy, but I've never had a problem with the rooms, especially the new Valley Tower rooms; it's the usual place I stay. But I don't care much about amenities (pool, gym, etc.).

I stayed there in March. Room was perfectly fine. I actually like the elevator situation there, as it's pretty close to the gaming floor. One of the reasons I've only stayed at Flamingo once is it took so damn long to get from elevator to room.
