It's 2018 guys. Sex workers don't hang around hotel bars anymore. Use the internet.

No, since the two properties are separated by Harmon. You're not going to be able to avoid the 30 second walk outside.

You're stuck in 2017. The internet has been shut down for that sort of thing.

everything was very functional, nice having table and chair, bed was great and had some cool stuff on the wall obv not pictured, bathroom was well done, quiet and elevators were fast

I also forgot to mention another pro about Vdara. It has a large fridge/freezer and a cook top. So if you are wanting to keep food and drinks in your room, you can.

Yeah, I was thinking about this option - gonna come for two weeks most likely next year around ME and wanted to be able to cook eggs in my room to avoid spending $25 on breakfast each day

Other than Vdara and places like Signature Suites, are there other properties that have fridges and kitchenettes in rooms?

Monte Carlo. They redid it since it's next to the new Arena.

If you stay at Vdara check to make sure they will bring dishes and cookware to the room at no cost. The kitchens aren't stocked and they have provided those things upon request, but I would make sure it's still free.

I don't know about others with kitchenettes, but I'm sure someone else will.

It was free when I was out there a little over a month ago. Housekeeping asked me specifically what I needed and how many people I needed silverware and place settings for. Also what cookware I needed.

They had the stuff at the door inside of fifteen minutes after I had called...this was early afternoon on day of arrival. Desk was not involved in the process...

As to other properties...obviously a booking at Veer gets you a kitchenette and washer/dryer, but you would be doing one of the VRBO type of bookings. You can also get a kitchenette with Trump, but no washer/dryer- those rooms can be booked through the website on a nightly basis. However, some will also be on the VRBO sort of sites...

Glad to hear it's still free. I was just covering it in case MGM started charging for it. You know, to increase the customer experience. lol

It's late 2018 TheChamp, sex workers are back on the streets because the US government seized the Backpage.com website.

All such hoe websites were shut down. There is a new law/regulation that makes the site owner responsible for the content on their site. If illegal activities result from site use the site owner might be prosecuted because of it. Therefore owners of review and advertising sites have shut down in fear of being prosecuted.

Super noob question here but can you get poker rate at a place like Aria for a portion of a stay. For example 10 day stay can you get a poker rate for 2-3 of those days.

Yes. For every 5 (or is it 6 at Aria) hours of logged play you’ll get one night at the discounted rate.

NB - you need to get the hours logged and signed off by the poker room manager (and at the Venetian when I’ve done it, I had to really push hard to get them to acknowledge my hours

NB2 - the rate is ok but not incredible and sometimes just signing up to mlife or Wynn Insider or whatever online and then deal shopping the offers will get you access to a better rate than the poker rate

Wrong. Internet is still the way to go. Unfortunately SESTA/FOSTA has had its biggest effects on the most vulnerable of sex workers, including women of color and trans workers. Higher class girls are still just fine. They have been able to adapt and still advertise online. Just need to know where to look.

I did see a story about a high-class girl getting stopped and turned away while she was headed towards an appointment at Aria not too long ago. Careful if you're at a hotel that requires key cards for elevator access.

A bit of a cross post from another thread for future reference. Generally this would also be the price order from high to low.

Vdara

nice, good location, no casino but they are close

Mandalay Bay

can be nice, some great features like their pool and bars. bad location

Treasure island

adequate and clean, no poker room, weak facilities, good location

Park MGM

A remake. Who the **** knows, Used to be **** but close to Aria poker room.

SLS

Forget about it. Nothing good that I can think of.

Linq

meh a re-do adequate but basically ****e. solo/bachelor degenerate drunken hockey parties trips at the best. And then it is very worthy!

Can’t overstate how much of a plus the “no casino” part is. At least to anyone who doesn’t plan on spending their trip on the casino floor of their hotel.

Probably have posted this story before. A couple of years ago a friend asked me if it was possible to get from MGM to Bellagio in 15 minutes and I told him it might take him 15 minutes from his MGM hotel room to get to the Strip. He thought I was joking..

I love this about Vdara. Along with it being a non smoking building. It’s great to come downstairs and not be hit with slots noise and the smell of smoke.

How would you guys rate the Royal Resort behind Encore? Shall I expect a horrific standard?
I would rate TI as very nice so I don't need top top to be content ... having said that I was never happy staying at the old IP.

Other bonuses include the whole in-room ability to do laundry or fix a meal. And, more critically, doing so mid-strip at a cost that is usually under $150 a night.

Vdara also has the huge benefit of being able to make it from your room to inside an Uber with a (ridiculously overpriced) Starbucks coffee in your hand in 5-10 minutes.

Yeah, the old IP, "where 4/20 was celebrated for the wrong reason".

Great location near Aria and Cosmo and Bellagio. Really nice rooms. Mellow lobby scene.

Great pool. Location is OK because you can tram for free to Excalibur.

Terrible pool but otherwise nice spot.

Line is actually not as bad as described after the renovations. The elevators are horrible, but it's a decent budget choice. Location is good.

Yep, the ability to make yourself some eggs or something easy in your room to avoid paying $25 for breakfast each morning seems like a huge advantage if you’re staying for more than a few days. Think I’m definitely gonna stay here next wsop

It's even worse if you're at the Signature. It's 8-10 minutes just to get to the MGM.
