Agreed, all good points. Except I wouldn't say Aria rooms are nicer than Bellagio's.

Aria rooms have very modern designs which I personally prefer. Bellagio more traditional. Just search YouTube and you can see what the rooms look like.

Thanks - I'm not a high roller.

Just got an offer at Aria, so the rooms are like $50/night cheaper than most of the other high end places.

At $50/night cheaper, Aria is a no-brainer. Rooms are arguably nicer than Bellagio or Wynn (or at least comparable, but preference will matter here). Pools are all the same to me.

All of those rooms are pretty much the best on the strip. Your trip is not going to be better by staying at Bellagio over Aria. In reality, you spend very little awake time in your room. Save the money to spend on other things and stay at Aria.

Tried searching this thread, no reviews for Tahiti All-Suite? Anyone stayed there?

Maybe check this thread?

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/10...ghlight=tahiti

Also from another thread (not sure who wrote this):

"The TS has pros and cons like anything else.
Pros
-Free shuttle to the strip every 30 min (8am-12am I think)
- large clean room with fridge, washing machine ect
- no issues finding a chair at pool along with lazy river and bbq area
- deuce stop out front for 24 hr back and forth to strip
- next to Taylor made golf course and outlet mall

Cons
- 8 minutes to strip
- no poker tables"

I think that's Tahiti Village which is different than Tahiti All Suites. I was gonna respond with my TV experience then googled to make sure and they are different.

quick check up.....

planning 7-9 days for wsop in June and to get it approved by the wife, it needs to be cheap, so I can't stay at the V this year.

Via my different memberships, I have very similar rates available at Linq and Trop.

Priorities in order of importance....

- clean comfortable room that is quiet
- good pool & serviceable gym (V pool & gym past two years has been excellent)
- decent food options within resort or nearby
- non offensive casino floor & environs (stayed at Harrahs one year and almost caught HIV)

WWYD?

I would go Linq over Trop based on recent reports. Much better central location, easier access to Rio.

March 17-20 is my next trip. Last two were at Flamingo. Options are:

1) Linq at about $130/night (brutal)

2) SLS fri/sat + NYNY sunday, both "free" but probably + resort fee

Pro's of Linq are location, ability to visit the room during the day, and no moving hotels during the short stay.

Con's of Linq are price.

Pro's of SLS I think are the restaurants.
Con's of SLS is the location.

No idea about NYNY, but I have a super early flight on Monday morning so I won't be in the room much at all.

Thoughts?

Where you going to be spending most of your time?

I'd probably use some of the money saved to take the free rooms and rent a car. That makes moving easier but you'd also have to pay parking at NYNY. See if Mirage is also free and park at TI instead of staying at NYNY.

Most of my time will be spent in the tunnels.

No, actually I'll be mostly playing poker at Flamingo, Caesar's, and Aria. Possibly more at Wynn if I'm at SLS. Even without the car rental, the savings cover a lot of cab/uber/lyft rides...

I had a really bad time at Sahara near the end of it's life...but maybe the rooms are decent.

Have been mulling over Vegas hotel decision since jan, almost pulled the trigger on gold coast but held off. Ended up doing the palms for ~60 a night Sun 6/11-Fri 6/16. Im not getting my hopes up, but I have a rental car so I think I should be happy w my total setup this summer. The Palms has to be >> Gold Coast right??

I want to change my answer to the Linq, if it doesn't affect your wallet too much. Even if you uber it a lot, you'll waste a lot of time in traffic. To drive from NYNY to Aria, you have to go way down the Strip, unless you can get the driver to make an illegal U-turn. If you walk, you've got a schlep through Monte Carlo then have to wait for the tram. Assuming you can walk without problems, you'll save a lot of time and money walking next door to Flamingo and literally across the street to Caesars instead of in a car. Even Aria is not a terrible walk from the Linq.

If you do anything beyond poker in CET joints, go into the Diamond registration area before you leave and talk to a host. You might be able to get something taken off your bill. Be sure you know how many reward credits you have beforehand though, because they love to burn up your reward credits and make it sound like they gave you something extra.

Walking from NYNY to the Aria poker room is probably not so bad if you walk out the back of NYNY through the new outdoor park near the T-Mobile Center, and through the back of Monte Carlo (Park MGM) and straight through to the Aria poker room through the area that was formerly called the Street of Dreams (currently under renovation). You wouldn't even need to be outside all that long.

Gold Coast isn't as bad as you may think. All rooms are renovated, while yes they are small they're pretty clean and fairly newish.
Obviously Palms is better but for $60 PLUS a $33 a night resort fee to sleep and shower mostly can't see the difference.

All comes down to how much time you spend in your room hanging out/partying?

I plan on being in Vegas in early June and have been looking at the Plaza downtown. Any recent reviews on the rooms and pool area since they updated?

You know, I think you are right. I can swing the money for the hotel, and it's a short trip, so why hassle with the SLS location? Life is short. Plus my friend is staying either at Linq or Caesar's so it will be much easier to connect if I'm also at Linq.

Thanks for the feedback.

Im going solo poker trip, so hopefully I wont be spending too much time in the room, but I figured it was worth the extra ~10 bucks a night to stay at the palms. Hoping to try to the 20 dollar trick and hopefully get a high floor. When it boils down to it that was my justification. Tough to find a decent view at Gold Coast compared to the palms.

What on earth are you talking about. Walking from NYNY to Aria is comically simple, and by the time you're at the Monte Carlo tram, you're at Aria.

What I meant is the $10 extra a night price difference might turn into $43 extra a night due to the $33 a night resort fees at Palms
