the kiosks are horrible, though. Not intuitive for many and they are not that great at scanning IDs. It is silly that you can't use the credit card that you used for the reservation online.

Everyone I know who has stayed there has told me MAKE SURE YOU ARE NOT ON THE SIDE OF THE FREMONT STREET EXPERIENCE.

Its tolerable-as the previous poster has stated-don't face towards Fremont and it is very much like being inside the speakers for show onstage (they are the doubles I believe) if you can get one of the "suites" (not a suite, but) they are decent and usually less than rack rate on the strip

Howdy. Which Caesar property is best for low roller degen, As in low limits cheap food n hookers? Trying to avoid Caesars, no comps and rio, rather be on strip. But the rest I think are compd so not basing it on cheapest room, which is best for a couple low Rollin buddies? Thanks, merry Christmas.

Oh, And as far as rooms showing compd today on total rewards is it likely to change the closer to the date or should I book asap? It's for January probably a slow month n likely to be available last minute? Thanks

A poker room would be nice too, so if you could comment on that if you have a idea for a place. Happy holidays

oh man, i had a room at the rio this week on 34th floor. one of those days it was really windy and i could feel the whole building moving. it was almost as bad as being up in the stratosphere tower. maybe i'm extra sensitive to it somehow...the height doesn't scare me at all but when i feel the floor wiggle i want to GTFO!

the linq is prob the best value out of the bunch, it's usually the cheapest and new renovated rooms. no poker room tho.

your comps aren't likely to change but prices do tend to get better if you wait until last minute. but not always.

Thanks for the quick response. Ya that is unsettling when a building moves, it's crazy how they're engineered to so much lateral movement.

So you think the linq even though the price of the room isn't factored into the low ball? I checked flamingo and ph and they're free so I assume besides Caesars the rest are too. Pretty much just looking for the place where it's t shirt n jeans not slacks n collard shirts thanks

I think Planet Hollywood probably has the best vibe as the type of "party hotel"
you might be looking for. Compared to other Caesar's properties it seems to have a younger crowd and a fun "low rollin" atmosphere and it does have a poker room.

Wait, if you are going for free, I don't get why you want the cheapest.

Anyways, I'd say on the strip the absolute cheapest is Harrahs (Carnival or Mardi Gras Towers) followed by Flamingo and Ballys (indigo tower). Then Linq comes in. If you are looking for the scummiest looking people they are definitely at Harrahs. The good thing about the Linq is that it's right next to Harrahs so you could stay at Linq and walk over to hang out with the scummy people at Harrahs.

The Linq casino is a bit classy now but I don't think you would be out of place gambling at any Harrah's property wearing jeans and a tshirt (well probably the Cromwell)..but perhaps I don't think about such things as much as I should. The only place in Vegas I really dress up for is the Wynn and even then I've never brought slacks with me to Vegas (designer jeans, button down shirt)

I think I got confused by your long run on sentences. Planet Hollywood is probably the most fun. Linq's casino is pretty small but could be fun. I'd probably choose Planet Hollywood unless Linq's location is important to you. BTW, you are under no obligation to play where you stay. I rarely do.

Hi guys,

Struggling to decide between hotel choices for my upcoming trip. I have Linq booked at $887 for 8 nights - i can get Bally's indigo room for $750 or Harrahs for similar price range. The room only needs to have some basic requirements, ideally a safe also. Probably the one factor which will swing it is which one is quicker from room door to strip? Last time i was there i stayed at the Flamingo and i liked how quick it was to get from the room to the strip. Am i right in thinking that to get from the strip from Ballys you have to walk through the Bazaar shops?

Thanks.

Indigo is the farthest Bally's tower so you have to walk through the entire Bally's casino and then through the Bazaar shops. That being said, it can take a while to get through the Linq as well depending where your room is due to long hallways. Sometimes the Elevators at Linq take a while too which is why you need to know about the secret elevator right behind the normal elevators. I believe there is a Harrahs tower that lets you off right in the front but I've never stayed in that tower so I can't say.

Personally, at that price point I'd definitely stay at the Linq. The Indigo tower rooms were quite dated and even the elevators hallways felt dated. Perhaps it will come down to where you want to be. If you want to be closer to Bellagio/ARIA then maybe Bally's is best. If you want to be between Bellagio/ARIA and Venetian/Wynn then perhaps Harrahs/Linq would be best. During the summer there should be a shuttle from Bally's and Harrahs to the Rio as well.

Yup.

You should probably think more about where you want to go than just getting to the strip. If you want to go to Bellagio or City Center you'll be better off at Bally's than Ling or Harrah's even if you have to walk farther to get "to the Strip". Harrah's will be along walk too. The rooms are way at the back.

Crossing at street level outside Linq to Carsars and using escalators to cross Flamingo Roadto Bellagio isn't that difficult. Linq is fairly remodeled and they have a safe and a FRIDGE!
Just make sure you don't get a room facing the pool cause it can get really loud early mornings

Where is a good place to stay during the WSOP? Would you recommend the Rio? I'm planning on playing the Colossus and the first $1,500 NLHE event.

Happy to look at Strip options as well.

for strip, Harrah's is very good for price and location if you get one of the redone rooms.

It is really convenient to be at Rio if you are just playing WSOP options. Rio isn't fancy, but is perfectly fine for a place to shower and sleep. Gold Coast is another good option if you are just playing at Rio. TI and Harrah's are good options if you are playing Venetian events or other things on the strip, and easy to get to Rio from each.

I stayed at TI last year for 5 nights during the Series. TBH I wasn't playing at Rio except for a daily, but I really liked the room and it was convenient for getting everywhere. I walked plenty but Uber'd to Rio. Would recommend, and am planning on staying there again this year.

If you have a car it is really really easy to get from the TI garage to the WSOP parking lot also, by taking the Mel Torme Dr loop.

Anyone ever stayed in a studio suite at the flamingo? Going the second week of march madness for a bachelor party. We rented a house off strip for the ~12 guys but I booked this to have a place on the strip to store booze, take a ****, etc. Mainly concerned with distance from strip to where these rooms are located, and if booking a suite at Harrahs or Ballys or a standard room at linq would be preferable for some reason.

Haven't been to Vegas in awhile and got a special offer for the Aria, where I've never stayed.

How is the room and pool quality vs. Bellagio/Venetian/Wynn etc?

Mostly - is Bellagio or Wynn worth an extra 40-50/night over Aria? I know the poker rooms/location ups and downs. Just curious on the room and pool since girlfriend will be along.

i don't think you can go wrong with rooms or pool at the aria if you have a 'special offer', but others may have a different opinion.

I've never stayed at Bellagio but I have hung out in some big ass suites they give to high rollers and my general (somewhat low information) opinion is that ARIA's rooms are newer and nicer than Bellagio's. One major potential advantage of Bellagio are the fountain views though. Also, if you are walking the strip it takes longer to get there from ARIA. In general Bellagio's location is slightly better.
