All of those are great, you’ll have a great time. I highly doubt you’ll be able to get any of that comped, but if you are splitting it 10 ways it’s not that bad at all. A few hundred dollars a day each. The problem I come across is when I go with 1-2 other guys and live the same lifestyle. That adds up quickly.

To answer your question: like most things in Vegas, it depends. How much action are you planning to give? You'll have to give a ton to get any of that stuff comped. The margins on bottle service are stupid so I don't think they'll comp bottles. It may be simpler to just call a host and ask how much action you'd have to give to get a couple of those things comped...but expect for them to laugh and rebuff you.

The best man must love burning money. Clubs and Cabana's are the biggest hustles in Vegas.

Edit: If the best man was smart he'd plan on going to the rhino instead. The $3k-$6k will go a hell of a lot further and you'll at least get some tight nuts out of it.

Respectfully disagree on the rhino. Although it is a great place and might be ok to stop in for a bit, you’ll have a very easy time getting laid at any of these clubs if you have any game at all, or even if you don’t.

Just FYI, those numbers most likely won’t get you a very good table at any of those clubs. For XS you have to calculate with $500+/person for one of the better tables. Keep in mind that the numbers quoted don’t include tax and gratuity, so it’s basically that number +30% as a base minimum.

It’s Vegas, you can get comped almost everywhere for almost everything, but to get a 5k club visit for free, you probably should wager mid 6 figures on your trips?

As far as pool parties go, there’s also Marquee Day Club and Wet Republic. I feel like all 3 experiences are pretty comparable and I would base my decision on the DJs.

Solid budget for food during the day and bottle service at dayclub & nightclub would be $1k/person per day.

If you can’t find a girl and get at least a little bit of action at a table in a club, you’re doing something horribly wrong.

Ya was worried that might be the case. The best man is the type that wants to do all the finer things but can't really afford it and grossly underestimates the cost of it. I think a handful of guys on the trip also around looking to spend a ton. My recommendation was pool cabana one day, and club bottle service another. I also doubt the groups ability to go super hard for multiple days.

Quick additional question. There was talk in another thread about paying for tables is essentially agreeing to spend that amount in food/drinks. Would that effectively mean you'd be getting more bottles?

I really don't know how bottle service in Vegas works since I've never gotten it or had any desire too. Is that 5k just paying for better real estate and you'd still be getting say 4 bottles (our group is 13 it turns out). Compared to say paying 1.5k for the ****ty tables but still having 4 bottles.

I'll disagree on the cabana - We get one at the Bellagio or Wynn pretty much every trip weather permitting. Nice to relax, read the LA times, go fo a swim. If you have 4 people it's $100-$150 per person or so. I probably save a couple of grand just by not being in the casino.

I've done cabanas before and def agree that they are reasonable value and good fun. Can't say the same about night clubs.

The quoted price is the minimum you have to spend on drinks from their bottle service menu. That’s bottles of liquor, champagne and mixers. At the dayclubs, it’s usually also food from the specific cabana menu.

Rough guideline is 2 guys per bottle as minimum for average tables. For smaller ones for two or three persons, it might just be any one bottle. How much that bottle is depends on the club and obviously also on the brand of liquor.

Make sure everyone understands the terms. If somebody wants to drink beer, they can get that from the bar but they still have to pay their regular share. Most of the time, especially if you have been drinking all day, the minimum amount of bottles will be enough even if you invite girls from the dance floor up to your table. But if you need extra bottles, make sure everyone is on the same page about that. Unfortunately, that stuff creates drama more often than you would think, even among good friends.

Vdara so so underrated

Ya I'm aware, this group it def could create problems. All the other times I've been to vegas have been with poker friends who don't "keep score" so everyone just splits everything no questions asked. There's a couple people in this group who are like that. There are also a couple who might want to be tight with money, but will at least say no to paying more for stuff.

Unfortunately there are one or two who probably will be tight on money, but won't care and hope other people pick up their slack if they get OOL (the best man specifically which really kinda sucks).

Rarely gets a mention. Cheaper than Aria/Cosmo etc but equally good. Kitchenette is the real game changer. I love going to Walmart on day 1 and stocking up on breakfasts. Always a better holiday if you can start with a healthy breakfast you made yourself.

since some people own vdara rooms like condos, you can get them on airbnb.

if the cost ends up being about the same (no resort fees, but added cleaning/other fees) - is there any reason to book through airbnb vs the hotel itself?

or would you generally recommend going through the hotel unless airbnb was significantly cheaper?

If you counted recommendations in this thread, I am pretty sure Vdara comes in top 3? Also I can’t remember a single person in here saying anything bad about it. Except for the “death ray” which was mostly fixed after people complained.

So yes, Vdara is great. But it’s certainly not underrated or any kind of “hidden gem”. Just a really good hotel, perfectly located.

All costs the same you would want to book the hotel since veryone is around and you might get points for your stay. But usually Airnbnb are cheaper, often a lot. For starters there is usually no resort fee. Also no daily maid service though (usually)

The only bad thing about Vdara is the pool (which looks very small to me). But this time of year it's not an issue since (I believe) most of the pools are still closed.

At Vdara? How does that work at a place with no casino?

I'm staying there for the last 8 nights of my trip this summer, and was told that play at Aria is counted for stays at Vdara.

The pool area is pretty small but that is at least somewhat negated by the different clientele that stays at Vdara. A high percentage of hotel guests are business travelers and have other things to do than staying at the pool during the day. At least based on my experience, I had never trouble finding a spot at the pool. Haven’t stayed at Vdara on one of the super busy pool weekends like Memorial Day though.

Another thing that’s relatively small is the gym. Again not a problem if you want to go there during the day, but thanks to the business travelers it’s pretty busy from 6-8 AM and you might have trouble finding a treadmill.

While I would hope they have changed the mattresses (bought new, not changed brand) since the change from being an Starwood property, they may still be using the same ones as brands such as W and Westin use (and that, while quite pricey, are available for purchase)...am guessing that you could email guest relations and they would tell you.

posted this in the sticky thread but instead of going to excalibur I decided to get a room polo towers. it was 75$ cheaper than excal and even tho its not a casino, i wasnt planning on playing at excal but that is still a downer its not a casino. plus side is that I can be more central strip and walk to PH and maybe another place since its only a 10-20min walk max.

thoughts on polo twoers? maybe I should have done more research but its the cheapest I could have gotten this late in the game that wasnt stratosphere or circus circus (which was like 200$ cheaper)

Has anyone stayed at the renovated tower at Ballys? Any pros and cons? They are giving me 6 days comp rooms in the new tower and I am not sure if I should take that or PH.
