If you can get upgraded to the Tower Suites (which could be the same King room but in the "Tower Suites" area), you'll get some extras - free breakfast credit, dedicated check-in/registration area with shorter line, a separate pool for Tower Suites you have access to (in addition to normal pools), better service overall.

Is there much/any difference between the views from a room at Venetian vs. Palazzo? Have family in town for couple days during my stay and view is important to them.

Yeah, that is a good price for sure; especially cuz 9 days would include a weekend. Do you normally get discounted rooms; because this seems discounted for the Aria?

Both hotels will have strip views, pool views, Koval/Sands views, HVAC unit views, etc. If your family insists on a strip view, I guess either pay them the extra money and book that or grease them at the desk.

Thanks, I understand. I just wasn't sure if one had clearly better views than the other.

I only have an mlife gold card so nothing special. I find the rates for each property vary so much. I checked daily and noticed on like a Tuesday or Wednesday the rates are much cheaper than any other day.

Cool; I think would be very pleased with that overall price; especially since it includes taxes and fees.

If u haven't been to the Palms in a while, you'll be quite surprised the next time u walk in there.

They completed their last wave of renovations over the weekend so I went to check it out. The interior is 100% remodeled, no trace of the old decor at all other than some of the restaurants in the food court (the sportsbook is still the same from the 2011ish remodel). Many new restaurants, new club. It was pretty nice, clearly Stations has invested a lot of $$$ into this to try and turn business around.

The swimming pool area has been totally demolished but that is the next thing they are working on I would guess, but I can't see it being ready for summer use.

ime, views are similar. difference is that Palazzo rooms (at least the one I was in last year) felt slightly more luxurious and more newly done. and less noise in the corridors

biggest difference though is the P is all around quieter/less of a zoo than the V can be. V has more dining options close and is a bigger casino but obviously it's only a 5 min walk between them both. And you can access all the pools, either gym and the rest etc with either resort key

I preferred the P, albeit there is something about the energy of the floor of the V that is more exciting. If I was in town for a big weekend or a few days, I'd choose the V, but if I was with my family it'd be P all the way

Is Park MGM still expected to be a construction site by November this year? Seeing some great offers for it but don't know if that's because it's going to be awful.

Sign says PARK MGM outdoors, no longer any Monte Carlo signs, made me think construction IS already over? But then again...

They weren’t close to done when I was there a month ago, and I know they’ve been having delays (another thread on the subject somewhere).

FWIW - I Initially book a room in January for 10 days at the RIO for the WSOP June 13 - 23 and I have been able to get them to drop the rate TWICE by just watching what specials are available thru TR online.

About a 30% reduction in the total bill and that is with $450 in taxes and resort fees still hammering up the overall cost The room itself has been reduced by 50%.

Just a heads up to check - no reason to waste money - you can always work the room rates during your stay also but this is a lock savings so far.

Anybody have an reviews on the TI Spa? I was thinking about getting a massage there, but i don't mind paying a bit more to get one at another casino if the TI Spa is no good.

I just stayed there over Memorial Day weekend. The casino seems basically finished, except for where the entrance from the strip will be. That is because they're building Eataly in front, and that's a long way from being finished. I don't know if all the rooms are remodeled or not, but ours was. The hotel provided earplugs preemptively due to construction noise, but we barely heard anything while we were there (up on the 17th floor).

Deals seem to be pretty good right now.

I just booked PH for $858usd including all fees and taxes for 9 nights. 27th june til 6th july. For PH thats really good imo. Great location. Vdara is $1352usd incl all fees and taxes and Aria $1550.

Pretty happy with that

Second hand - wife of one of my partners was happy with a massage there.

I generally get a haircut/beard trim when we're there, and I've been happy with it. Seeing how I paid $200 for a beard trim at Caeser's once, I appeciate the $90 tab......

True about the crowds/noise/pools..... recommend family brunch at Bouchon, with the pool right outside. No "view", but they will like it.

We used to book the family into the V, got a really nice two bedroom suite with view, which was like an apartment.... as nice as the FourSeasons/Mandalay which is otherwise the premiere place for a family suite booking with kids.

Need some input please.

Have the wife and kids on board for a trip this July and I want them to enjoy Vegas. Will be the kids first time (18 and 19). I'll spring for Presidential Limo and surprise them at the airport with it as I want them to enjoy Vegas from start to finish.

I let them all look into it and pick a place to stay. They chose Excalibur as they felt they didn't want to be right in the middle of the strip, they like the pictures of the pool and (prodding from my wife I suspect) I can get the stay comped.

On one hand I am happy they want to stay somewhere I can get free, but on the other hand I wouldn't mind paying up for some place at lease a little nicer (Mandalay Bay).

I've stayed at Excalibur and I agree it's a bit away from the chaos and it's not terrible but I know I can do better. Also, would you feel weird showing up at Excalibur in a limo?

Am I being a snob? Should I accept them wanting to save the money and stay at Excalibur? Still take the limo there?

Thoughts?

Pens fan - I personally would not make people I love stay at excalibur. It is a bottom of the barrel joint
