The dates have been decided on and air travel booked. I am doing something I haven't done before.

I am flying first class. To deal with air sickness, I have come up with a cocktail of drugs that can make me sleep on the plane. By flying first class and with a mention to the flight attendant, I hope to not end up in LA.

I scored a good price on the ticket so I am happy. If the price hadn't been good, I wouldn't be flying first class.

I am flying in late so first "day" will be going to hotel, checking in, and going to bed.

Next day will be breakfast first followed by a haircut and beard trim at Art of Shaving at Mandalay Shoppes. There have been two places I have gotten haircut/beard trim that made my wife's jaw drop and this was one of them.

Depending on my mood and the time I have, I might take in the Titanic exhibit at Luxor. That night I will be having dinner at Strip Steak at Mandalay.

I will definitely see "O" at Bellagio this trip and I might see Zumanity plus Love. I am also planning on the CSI Experience as I understand it has a new case.

I plan my trips, but all my plans are subject to change. Haircut and dinner on first full day are pretty set in stone.

If you're going solo, don't forget the hookers, what day do they fit in?

It is not a recommended room to play if you're after fishy tourist dollars. There are much better rooms for that.

Nice room and atmosphere but the poker sucks.
I have not found "fishy tourist dollars" easy to find anywhere in Vegas. Maybe in 10% of the games I play, at best.

That's got two chances. Slim, and none. And Slim just left town.

Any game in Vegas I am in is 100% guaranteed to have fishy tourist dollars.

Excellent self-own! Genuine chuckles here.

You sound like a Cirque veteran, O was the least favorite of the 4 I've seen, but it was also the only one where I didn't pony up for good seats. So as with many shows, paying more is worth it (imo).

Actually, we have only been to Ka (twice) and "O" (once).

We had some "good" (meaning close to the stage) seats, but I feel like we were too close so I actually want to sit farther back.

First show we ever saw was Ka and our seats were courtesy of winning a drawing at Television City. We were within the first ten rows of the stage. The next time we were farther back, but again I feel like we were too close.

There just seems to be so much going on that you miss the forest for the trees.

They are almost different shows based on seating.

I do like the baller move of first class airline ticket, cheap hotel, expensive show tickets, low limit poker. It makes you seem both discerning and somewhat insane.

nice to know people can say I'm insane, you are insane, and yet we do things so different.

by the way, I also just wrote a big long trip report summary and it was lost. I know how you feel. I don't have the heart to retype it yet

Regards to your question Bally’s is the most central to your destinations, (and no resort fees) not as nice as Vdara but a decent location. It’s going to be a hike to any location-Lyft is your friend to the furthest like Mandalay Bay
I would also agree with this statement. It seems that Bally's is the best option for you.

More on the insanity in a bit, but in my defense the first class tickets aren't much more than a certain cattle car airline that has no assigned seating. How did I score them? By monitoring.

In regards to the show tickets, my seats would be in the second cheapest price level but that is actually because that is where I want to sit. Having been to Ka and "O" before, I know I will be fine with the view.

As to if I am discerning or insane, Dorian Gray said it best in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. "I'm complicated."

Well, I bet you have never had a psychiatrist tell you were insane. I have.

That is just the way I talk. I guess it comes from my legal upbringing.

More on my being told by a psychiatrist that I was insane.

I was talking to a psychiatrist about some of my Vegas doings and his response was "You're insane." Of course, that was probably because he wasn't a poker player. He did go to Vegas one time for a rock and roll fantasy camp.

lol. Pot calls kettle, "black".

btw, a "legal upbringing" ranks somewhat below "being raised by wild wolves" in when it comes to adding poker skills later in life.

I don't remember if I mentioned this, but I am getting a haircut at Art of Shaving because there have been two places I have gotten haircuts where my wife's jaw dropped and Art was one of them.

The other place was V's Barbershop in Joplin Missouri and as my hair had been down past my shoulders, the wife and I went down there this weekend.

I look like a shorn sheep, but by the time the Vegas trip arrives I will need a haircut again.

In my case, I disagree. Perhaps I would still be analytical but I think my upbringing had something to do with it.

Well, with the dates chosen some are probably wondering what they are.

I am not telling until after the trip is over.

I am one of those who doesn't believe in publicizing exact trip details before they happen.

I know this isn't FB and I am not a celebrity, but still I think from a security standpoint that after trip reports are best.

The hotel is booked, but I am continuing to monitor offers from MGM and Caesars just in case I can get a room cheaper. I have until two days before the trip to cancel and rebook.

First day plans have changed.

I was going to go to The Titanic Exhibit at Luxor, but I have been to The Titanic Museum in Branson and by googling, I see that I probably would consider it a waste of time.

Passing through with my dog tomorrow night. Does LINQ have a safe parking garage? Rooms decent? Reviews seem pretty positive so far. I like that location quite a bit and there’s some good restaurants over there. Curious how the stay is overall...

Covered parking. Rooms are small but fine, been remodeled fairly recently. The walls are pretty thin so hopefully you don't have noisy neighbors. There can be a long wait for elevators. But great location center strip.

I've stayed there 3 times since the big renovation. Never had a car when I stayed there, so can't comment on that. Rooms have been nice, but they're smaller than anywhere else I've stayed on the Strip. Usually a pretty young crowd so expect to run into some kind of drunken shenanigans during your stay. Location is great though. Haven't stayed at Paris, but out of the other lower tier Caesar's properties I would stay at LINQ over Bally's or Flamingo.

Curious as to why you are asking if the parking garage is safe.

You aren't going to leave your animal in your vehicle, are you?
