We moved houses last year, same city just a couple miles South. That was the first time in my life that I actually brought the old furniture and stuff instead of just buying everything (except for clothing) new. The latter option is not only much more convenient but you also make sure that everything fits. Not only stylistically but also size-wise.

Of course, you can always buy your furniture from Habitat for Humanity (or Good Will or wherever) and then sell it or donate it back

Any one own a unit in the VDARA? It seems really pricey. $450k+ and $900 HOA. It looks like they come fully furnished. Great location though. Not sure if that's worth it.

real estate purchases go towards investment quota, can also shortlist you for a green card - could kill two birds with one stone if you're going that route anyway

chinese have basically been skipping the line for a greencard by simply buying up the real estate they plan to live in anyway for a good decade now, it's a huge factor why places they like such as california didn't have quite the dip of other places during 2008

Plus there's a **** ton of other poker players who live here. PM me if you'd like to know more.

Been a while since I been in Vegas. But is there a reason this place is so cheap compared to other high rises? Googled it and it seemed to be like a mid rise with security and amenities.

Is the location good enough to buy groceries without a vehicle? Obviously if you are in other locations like Summerlin or Henderson you need a car.

How much is a 2br/2ba nowadays in vegas? Im shocked its that low for a mid rise condo like that with amenities for 1.3k for 2br/2ba as if you split the rent with someone and even with electricity/internet, you probably won't be paying more than 750-800/month?

For starters, it’s not a high rise.

Depends on what you’re looking for. There’s a 7-Eleven next door. Albertsons is probably 2 miles East.

But it’s 2021, nobody needs a car for groceries. You can get everything delivered and if you feel the need to actually walk into a store, just Uber.

Yea i know it isn't a high rise. But when you google it, they advertise it like a mid rise... would you even call it that?

Yea I would mean a real grocery store where you could get groceries like an Albertsons. But is there any grocery store similar to like an Albertsons even closer than that? 2 Miles is well not really walking distance.

Yea i was wondering if there were any big grocery stores near meridian within say a 15 minute walk or so. Also, is there a reason a place like meridian is this cheap though when there is security and amenities? 1300 for a 2bd/2br seems very cheap where it includes all these things.
