I thought the move out from the sports book to the main floor by the Mirage door was beneficial. For a while, the cash and MTT action was pretty inspired.
They just never seemed to get any kind of game going there that made it a destination or cachet. Mirage is/was known for 3-6 limit, Orleans for Limit Omaha, Bellagio for monster limit and NL games, etc. Harrahs was known for....nitty locals looking for some bottom-feeding, Short-stack tourists who would buy one stack and quit, etc. Nothing to build a solid base on. And the management seemed minor-league.
The entire casino is undergoing a sea-change. Some good: Fulton St. Market is top-notch, the buffet is completely walled up, a lot of the rooms have been renovated. Time will tell.
