You still get free parking if you're there to rob the place. Almost everyone else has to pay.

Man that fits so well, especially at the end when they're arguing. "You're like a child, a two year old child, you had to wear your damn porky the pig mask, you had to get the damn parking ticket validated...."

He might be referring to the kid who parked his motorcycle outside Bellagio, ran inside with a gun in his hand and got a craps table for 1.5mil. Unfortunately for him, the chips have RFID chips inside..

FWIW, there's another often overlooked reason to rob a place in a very busy area. Not only is it harder for police/security to recognize somebody in a crowd, they are also usually adviced not to shoot unless it's absolutely necessary. Insurance reimburses the Rolex store for stolen watches, but nobody compensates Bellagio for damage to their image if an innocent bystander gets shot by police in their casino.

See post 31 in the thread below. The robber was Oceanspray25 and pics of the cranberry chips he stole were in that post.

This is screaming for a photoshop of a lineup with 5 normal guys and 1 in a pig mask.

Blows my mind they chose to rob the watch store in the middle of the strip instead of going to the north valet, walking 10 feet from the door and robbing THAT watch store, then leaving directly to your waiting car and being literally 30 seconds from the interstate. There's literally no better place in Vegas to do a smash and grab and they chose maybe the WORST place to do it.

Between this and the dealer who palmed a chip, Bellagio criminals are having a bad month.

What are the chances they would have been caught if the car had started and they could just drive away?

The Bellagio criminals have gotten caught easily in the past because they were just dumb. But then again, the smartest criminals probably aren't likely to commit a crime that will get this much attention, and in an area with that many cameras around.

There was a Bellagio reg from the 1-2 and 2-5 games almost a year ago that faked his own kidnapping, and his two accomplices were shot and killed and he is facing serious charges.

Nailed it...Rolex has every serial number of every watch they make and you will never be able to get these watches serviced or resell them to a reputable watch dealer. Best they can hope for is that their meth dealer takes them in lieu of the cash they owed him/her.

The watch store they robbed is really close to the self parking garage. Shouldn't take longer than a few seconds, especially if you run faster than the people I saw in the video (they were pretty slow lol). Last time I self parked at Bellagio I didn't even see any employees when I entered thru the kiosk where you take your parking ticket (not sure if that's usually the case these days though). If they could get the car started I doubt anyone is stopping them.

What really blows my mind is the car not starting. Would be hilarious if it was for a dumb reason, like they panicked and couldn't find the keys or something. Guess they needed a getaway driver.

Get away driver would have been clutch in this situation. Then again we have determined these weren't the smartest criminals.

Rolex had a service for everybody to check serial numbers in their lost & stolen database. They stopped offering that to anyone but authorized dealers like 5 years ago. If you take your watch anywhere that is not an authorized dealer, they have no easy way to find out if it's stolen. Lots of those watch dealers offer service for Rolex watches.

Thanks for linking those threads. I remember briefly hearing about that when it happened but had no idea how good the full story was, or that it involved 2p2. Made for some great weekend reading.

I would be surprised if these smash and grab robbers know anybody with enough cash to even give them 10% of the retail value of these watches. It probably won't be long before they're caught and they'll go from trying to trade watches for cash to trading ramen noodles for stamps & envelopes.

Yeah, female dealer at the Bellagio palmed a $100 chip in a 1/3 game when pushing a $600 pot. Not good judgment. Happened earlier this month.

Yikes, thought this was in a 2/5 game. Poor lady must have been in really bad shape.

This is surprising to me. Why would a dealer at Bellagio try and steal a $100 chip? They make a good living and $100 isn't worth to lose that job.
