Even for free, writing could help build your brand, get exposure for the channel, and maybe it turns into something bigger if it goes well. I enjoy the articles and I life your story.
There's no payment as of yet for what I've written, but Carlos Welch sort of followed the same path and now gets paid to write articles there and on other sites and I wouldn't mind getting to the same point by producing some more content. I do still own the rights to what I've written and am credited as the author, the only editing they do is perhaps to adjust a couple links or paragraph lengths. Writing is something I enjoy and will try and produce some more on a more consistent basis, as you said it's good for exposure.
I just returned from a trip to LA that proved a meager monetary profit however quite a fantastic life experience. Hung out with Will Kassouf quite a bit and regardless of love/hate him he's a genuine nice guy who is the exact same on and off the table, might actually write an article about just that he's pretty interesting, got to meet Allen Kessler, Phil Hellmuth, Mike Matusow, went to dinner with the CEO of the WPT and Pat Lyons, all really cool people. Before that I was able to rail a 25k SNG on PAD live in studio which was pretty sick as well. It's really cool getting these opportunities as a fan of the game.
I'll also be leaving Vegas for a few weeks coming up here. Will first be going to Saint Louis, MO for the HPT event there with a few of my friends, never played this series and the sattys and single tables look really appealing so I'll be there for the duration of that the 19th-2nd, and then I'll be in FL for about
a week or so. Will be attending a bachelor party for one of my good friends and seeing the family and friends back there. Had actually considered driving and making a big trip, but plane tickets were just so cheap, $150 total to Saint Louis, to Orlando, and back to Vegas. Should have a couple vlogs out this week, also should set myself a schedule for editing to produce things on a more steady basis I feel.
