Doyle Brunson is a Christian. His poker career was not all peaks. He has had some valleys too.

Bikeking may not be the next poker superstar, but with perseverance and an open mind, diligence and willingness to learn, he can at least rebuild a bankroll and eventually make a living doing things his way playing low to middle limit.

Seems like he has sacrificed bankroll-building game selection lately to get into a freeroll for a chance at a main event seat. But yeah, since last Fall, I thought he could've helped himself better by getting a day job to build a BR faster. He might've been able to have saved up enough by now to quit the job by June and grind what have been said to be juicier cash games during the WSOP. Let's see how he does the rest of the year. I have no choice but to follow, since, look at my location under my name.

Couldn't he have helped himself by grinding more poker? I haven't followed much recently but as I recall he was spending most of his time having fun doing non-poker related things. You would think if there's one thing that would motivate you to bust your butt it would be living in a Prius, but perhaps not.

Grinded more poker as $800 scared money? That's some stress, and it doesn't usually work out.

You said since last fall you thought he should have gotten a job. He didn't have just $800 that entire time since last fall. In fact, he had over $43,000 last fall, which is more than enough to play Bellagio 2/5 fulltime. He should have been busting his butt to improve at poker and move up in level.

By since last Fall, I meant after he lost his roll, which I thought happened in August. And I actually think he had more like 2k after he lost it, and it dwindled down to 800.

I guess we can cut the difference because he lost his roll while at the Punta Cana classic which was October 24th to October 30th. I'm sure he could have gotten staked after that (perhaps he did, I haven't followed). He could have grinded his butt off before or after losing his roll. A job would only be necessary if you think he can't beat poker. He has the lowest living expenses of anyone West of the Mississippi.

Man I hope he's got a bigger bankroll than 800 now. Couldn't he pick up another side job to go with the balloon thing?

It's almost as if people know he lied about the 40k bankroll situation, but they feel so bad for him that they sweep it under the rug and continue to wish him well. I sure do.

I don't understand this about him either. He put in 120 hours in a month where he was grinding out a 100 hour challenge. So he pretty much worked 40 hours for 3 weeks and took a week off!?!

If he's at 1/2nl, he should be putting in tons of volume to build up his roll to move up to 2/5nl where he can actually live off of that level comfortably.

I understand that he releases 4-5 vlogs a month and has a side gig at the hot air balloon place, but consider the vlog as a hobby and do it during off work hours. He should be putting in 50 hours a week between his poker and balloon gig combined...more if he wants to get out of his current situation sooner.

I don't understand why he doesn't Uber/Lyft to make extra cash. I don't know if there's much money in it but he's got a Prius so low gas and he can always get a $30 storage unit and just drop his sleeping stuff in there before starting Uber and pick it up right afterwards.

At his current rate, BikeKing will be treading water at his current life situation till he's Trooper's age.

He is a losing poker player who lied about how he lost 30k.

Once you digest that info everything else he does makes sense...

Never believed he was living in his car for any other reason than he was broke

I agree with you on the volume part ... if BK is a winning player, he should be grinding at least 40 hours at poker per week plus whatever side gigs he has to earn some extra cash.

If BK wasn't living in his car, I think Uber/Lyft would be a totally good idea ... but who would want to ride in a car that doubles as a house?

If you've ever taken an Uber/Lyft in SoCal you've definitely taken a ride in someone's house.

It's literally the only reason to choose living in a car.

And yet people still come in this thread and try to work out the 10000 flaws in Bikekings stories when they are ALL answered by those 2 facts

He is a degenerate
He never had all of that money

Chap clearly sore how Trooper got on with his Vlog and thought he could simply recreate that...

The fact he claims he can easily earn 6 figures with a real job is pure comedy too

All of the answers to BK’s problems is to get a job, any job that pays more then 12 bucks an hour and gives him lots of hours. No quick way to build a roll other then working like crazy, it’s the only realistic way.

Yea for sure. Seems like the humility that comes across in his vlogs is endearing to those of us who really want to see him succeed.

It would be interesting to see if a "confession" of sorts would get him more attention. His vlogs have gotten consistently better. I think there is a lot to like about him and how he is choosing to live.

I haven't given much thought to whether he is lying about the money. However, if he confessed to inflating the number and doing something really irresponsible with it, it would be a great story.

A 2 or 3 month job and a good plan to start over would be worth watching, imo.

A confession would be a game changer, he would take a hit from the two plus mafia but would gain tons of views.

Hobo Ahle has a new Youtube video that could be both inspirational and instructional for Bike King:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=smyaTERiMzM

She talks about dumpster diving, donating plasma, eating one loaf of bread per day, eating Jack in the Box tacos, stretching $100 per month income, etc.

She could make a good living in a strip club, I'd get a lap dance and she is desperate so she may get wild.

Not for nothing she is just online begging

She’s obv a lunatic, but lunatics that look like her get plenty of gifts from viewers. I’m sure she’s doing just fine financially

She's definitely hot. And whenever she has trouble with her car, or goes somewhere and needs help or whatever, there's always someone to help her. And if you notice she hardly ever mentions the gender of the person she is meeting. Instead of using gender pronouns she uses 'the person' or even 'they' when it's only one person.

Just when I thought things couldn't get worse for Bikeking...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3vjiwpMpfaI

Anyone have any advice for Bikeking on how he could monetize his vlog? I mean, Neeme, Vibes, Priest, Jaman, and the others really haven't been able to monetize either but they really don't seem to need to.

I wonder what advice Trooper - who has done a really good job of monetizing his vlog with his Go Gamble brand - has been giving to his friend Bikeking? Merchandising? Coaching? Outsourcing? eBooks? What?

Man, that hurt to watch. Decent vlog, though.

Pretty sure Troop don't recommend coaching.
