My 2 cents I don't know if you're telling the truth or not, don't care but I am wondering why no one touched base on this when you wrote to that guy about the PCPC tournament, what details did you have to send to him as far as credentials that whole free give away sounds real fishy to me did you look into that aspect? Also for your future even though banks disapprove of this...I would keep your money in a safety deposit box most banks are 50-60 per year or you can do the private vaults with more security but they cost more per year and doesn't have that bank safety mentality. Just a little advice BK19.

Hmmm would that be by phone or done by online? Guess you forgot about those 2 options?? However I do agree you can make a video and blurring out important life details hell he can kill 2 birds prove his story and get views for the vlog sounds like a win win and by him not doing that also adds validity to his story.

As others have just said, you can't trust most poker players but there are legit players who are honest or tell it like it is...but this guy giving away a Punta tourney trip for free smells like the worse BS i ever heard!

Yeah, I had mentioned to bike if it could've been someone he knew(who might've personally come across his bank info previously) because it was 4 sub $10,000 withdrawals exactly timed on the 5 days or whatever that he was gone and they knew he had no international phone service to be contacted by the bank.

yeah it's possible but why would he assume a kid playing 1/2 and sleeping in his car is gonna have that much money in the bank

From his earlier post...

Quote:
Not even before I leave FL to go back to Vegas I'm browsing around on Facebook and I see a post on one of the poker groups I'm a part of. It's from a long time pro which a 1.6 million hendon mob and impressive online results, he details that he won a package to the Punta Cana Poker Classic coming up on the 24th but isn't really interested in going and rather than selling it he'd rather give it away. So he gave his email and said simply email him why you thought you should go. So I did, I didn't even put all that much time and effort into it really, just recapped my story, linked my VLOG and pokernews articles and sent him it. A few days later he tags me in a post saying I won the package and emails me all the proper forms.
What forms? Ones that would have your SSN for tax purposes?

Two weeks in and OP still hasnt produced any screenshots of the withdraws. How easy would that be? Very simple. Show us the $40,000 in withdraws on the bank statements.

All OP has shown is some homemade Word document showing a balance.

This story is beyond BS. Why would someone make this up? Same reason OP would blog and vlog.....attention.

Homeless, living in a car can mess someone's brain up, and not in a good way.

Very much by my choice. I routinely turn down invitations to home games. I've been strict in not giving out personal details. I'm not sure if any reg in my casino knows my job outside of poker or what my relationship status is.

I was not referring to invites to play poker outside a casino.

I just thought you were referring to non-poker, social activities.

You never even get invited along or go out to dinner, sports events etc. with other poker players ?

You are missing out on maximizing your time spent in live games.

A cautionary poem, with apologies to the author:

" And he was good—never busted with pocket kings—
And admirably schooled in every grace:
In fine, we thought that he had everything
To make us wish that we were in his place.

So on we played, and waited for the light,
And went without the meat, and cursed the bread;
And Richard Cory, one calm summer night,
Went home and put a bullet through his head."

Why would I want to go out to dinner with other poker players? Most of them have horrible taste in food and think that Golden Corral and Applebee's are acceptable dining establishments. If we had shared interests, I would occasionally run into them at my non-poker social activities.

I have been invited to possible social interaction outside the casino with dealers, who are generally non-horrible.

I'm much more likely to put a bullet through the heads of people I play poker with rather than myself.

I can't imagine why no one asks you to ever hang out. You seem like such an approchable and likeable person.

You're demonizing the people that are doing exactly the same exact thing that you're doing. It's like the pot calling the kettle black.

Sorry I call BS. If it were from a PDF the numbers wouldn't be so misaligned. It was obviously cut and pasted into an editor which messed up the formatting.

If I were bike, I'd want to post the bank statement section showing the 4 withdrawals(with blacked out personal info) just to shut the non-believers up. Especially after having gone through all the trouble of explaining everything. Not doing so creates doubt. He hasn't updated his vlog followers either(at least as a courtesy for having followed him). Maybe it was a story after all. If it was, bike, no shame in going broke. Happens to all of us, and to pros, multiple times over.
