link) contains a running balance that is relative to each individual credit/debit, so there is no dependency on previous statement pages for the balances to match up.

This represents an inductive logical fallacy. The fact that others may hold you in high regard has no bearing on the objective evaluation of facts for this situation. For example, if you were on trial for theft and the prosecution presented video evidence of you stealing the item in question, the fact that "reputable people" testified to affirm your character wouldn't do much to exculpate your guilt.
