I'm heading out west for about 10 days on Sept 26.

Starting in LV with 3 nights at the Mirage, then going to Laughlin (GN for one night). The next two nights will be at some random Casinos in N AZ, then back to Laughlin Sat night, then back to the Mirage Sun & Mon night, then back home (Tues 10/5).

Should be fun and I hope to work in a little sightseeing, but will surely spend most of my time in a Casino. This could get pretty crazy (remember I'm old) with my propensity for drinking and playing blackjack with no adult supervision.

Haha have fun old buck. I have a weird nostalgia for Laughlin, I hope to make a similar troop hopefully by next summer. How far are the Arizona rooms from Laughlin?

If there are any in northern AZ they must be small. I don't know of any, other than one over by Camp Verde I think, and it's a long trek from Laughlin.

I think I'll try to hit Twin Arrows, Camp Verde and maybe one called Bucky's near Prescott.
Or after Laughlin, go back to LV and stay downtown at the GN - I've got 3-4 night comped for my birthday. I'll just do whatever - that's the beauty of having no schedule, no friends, and being old...

Off to a rocky start, but getting comfortable.
Lost $3k before getting going, and am down $1700 for the trip.
Low lights: Me double down $300 and hit 21 dealer has 10 3 2 6 for a push, next hand I split 88 Vs dealer 3 (for $300) me 8 4 and 8 2 dd & get a 4.
Dealer 10 3 2 2.
Sorry I don't have any pics of eggs & bacon or the same ****in buildings that we've all seen 1000 times..

$3K down is certainly a rocky start has to be more to this than one $300. No idea the situation was here but is it common to double down against a 10?

Where are you staying, what shops you playing?

In those cases above, the dealer had the 3 up and 10 down. Got back at them tonight. Win $4200, so up $2500 for the trip.
It was a battle with many bad beats and luck outs, but I hung in there and took a break when about to get missed off. Staying at the Mirage. Played at the Wynn (liked it) and Venetian (ok) today. Will go at it again tomorrow - this is fun even if a bit stressful at times.

Had another monster breakfast. I've had two breakfasts and one large hamburger since I got here. One big meal a day. Had a nice session of bj earlier. It amazing what can happen if you don't bust every other hand. Won $4500. Plus $7000 for the trip.
I bet $1000 to win $571 on the Dodgers tonight and $200 to win $210 on the Phillies.
Also a $100 5 Team parlay that pays about $2k (Cubs, Mets 2nd game, Clev, Oak and over 11.5 in Col).
That's all for now.
Got hammered last night, and will probably do the the same tonight.

Thanks for the support. My Phillies bet is looking bad but I know how bad the Braves bullpen is, so there is hope. I'm a Braves fan, but thought that Wheeler would be too tough for them...

Wild ride tonight - up and down but when the smoke cleared I'm leaving this part of my vacation + $10k.I
Won my Dodger bet, but lost the 2 smaller bets. Does anyone know a good 'capper? I always ***** about bad beats, so let me tell you about this little beauty:
I have $200 bet and split 2s 4 times against the dealers 5, and wind up with 13 13 13 & 12 then the dealer turn over a 6 5 hits a 5 and then a 10. $1600 swing. I had a total 10 cards and one face. What luck!!!
Heading to Laughlin tomorrow.
