Have you seen what some of the women are wearing for EDC? Why would tourists want to avoid that? And fwiw over 500k attended EDC this year over 3 days.

You should search the RJ website for their F1 coverage. They did an article a few days ago detailing foot and road traffic affected.

Yeah that’s true sometimes. But not everyone that goes to EDC weighs 300 pounds. Attractive women go there too.

Does EDC have any negative effects on Vegas or its residents or people working on the Strip?

Haven't been to EDC in a lot of years but always had an absolute blast that weekend. Not only at the event itself but also at the pool parties and clubs on the Strip, from Thursday to Monday morning. Never heard anyone complain about all the 19 year old girls from Southern California..

The Texas race had like nearly 450k people attend. Las Vegas will easily be a success too and a permanent fixture on the F1 calendar. Did anyone see just how happy the F1 owners looked before the race too?

I misread the dollar figure, 100k is a literal drop in the bucket considering Harrah's / Caesars / El Dolrado pays close to 4 million dollars a day in interest on its debt.

They could give them nothing. Certain things go along with being employed on the Strip.

That said, instead of a lottery they could just given them all a bump in pay for those days in question. So guaranteeing something.

Use a carrot and stick approach

Do you think anyone would be extra motivated working that weekend if they got something like $3-4 extra per day?

Based on the number of employees Caesars has on the Strip, $100k combined for everyone working during those days means almost nothing.

They already voted and approved the strike. Just waiting for the idiot Papageorge to set the date if the negotiations and his bribes aren’t agreed upon before F1.

Thanks, I was traveling back to Las Vegas yesterday evening and was unaware of the civil disobedience action taken last night.

I expect F1 would not like a similar disobedience or even lawful picketing during a labor dispute in the midst of their pillage of Clark county coffers and occupation of The Strip for their own use.

Looks close to finished near Bellagio. Woman upset because she wanted to see the fountains and I’m sure many others feel the same way. I didn’t realize until recently that people get so excited about the fountain show.
