Thanks for the warning, looks like a veritable clusterf**k to avoid to be honest.

Can you tell us what the Strip lane closures, clsoing Flamingo, etc. will be for the set-up and tear down periods, like for barriers, viewing stands, etc. ? How many days ?

Is this free, you just show up or you have to buy tickets somewhere?

The strips been closed down MANY times... that's nothing new.
I am pretty sure this is a free promotional event with some paid areas.

that hasn't been posted as yet that I have seen... I imagine it will be extensive in that area because it's a whole deal with team trucks, paddock where some cars will be etc. the route map is in the first post, it isn't the actual track but it will be up and down the strip in front of ceasars, bellagio and paris.

parking at caesars or planet hollywood will probably be the ticket, the Bell is gonna be blocked from the looks of it.

I doubt I'll be going to the race. It's probably going to be very expensive and it looks like there aren't great places for viewing. I'll probably just watch it on tv. You can get a lot of the F1 just by being in town. They're so loud you'll be able to hear them from inside a high rise hotel room. The last time they had F1 there we were staying at the Stardust, where Resorts World is now, and we could hear the cars at Caesars, come out for practice.

The Strip from Harmon to Spring Mountain and every cross street as well ? Starting Nov 3 ?

"A representative with Formula 1 introduced everyone to some demo maps. For eager fans there will be many road closures to keep in mind:

Las Vegas Boulevard will be closed between Spring Mountain and Harmon
Harmon Avenue near Las Vegas Boulevard will be closed

The closures will take place Nov. 3-6 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. A demo of the race cars will take place starting at Caesars Palace, going south on the Las Vegas Strip, around the Paris Hotel and back north to Caesars."

Probably much worse than you could imagine.... like NYE on steroids, for days.... I like the phrase "for eager race fans" , yeah right, and f**ck everyone else.

Does it make sense to just rename this to a Formula 1 Vegas GP Megathread? There's going to be a lot of dumb stuff happening over the next year in the lead-up to this race. (Street closures, construction and so on)

MGM just unveiled their Bellagio Fountain seats

exciting news. las vegas is really expanding on entertainment options, ketogenic diet requests (mostly more accepting in restaurant settings) and increasing options for spiritual needs. the future of las vegas will be interesting to follow. would love for the city build upon this eventmwith other types of races,

I dealt with the lead up hype of this event when they closed much of the strip for the F1 promotion earlier this month. I had a concert to go to (The Who if it matters) and going anywhere near the strip was an absolute sh$tshow. I cannot even imagine what the actual race will be like.

Are they reaching the point where it is just better to permanently close down the strip to automobile traffic?

Was there a race earlier this month or not ?

I thought it was for 2022.

This won't be until 2023 ?

Seriously, looks like a total disaster in the planning for Las Vegas..... OTOH, maybe they can hire Adam Laxalt to run it ?

earlier this month was the typical F1 exhibition, not a race. 2023 is the race.

Bahahaha, I just got an MLife mailer with my offer. I can get 500 dollars off a night at Bellagio! A standard (non lakeview room) starts at $3300 a night!

Excalibur and Luxor at a chill $1885 a night. Cool.

If Las Vegas is improving ketogenic diet requirements and spiritual needs I am moving asap. Please bring back the Italians.

I am in Ketosis right now... it's been delightful.
my mind is much clearer, I am shedding El Bees, I don't suffer from any stomach issues any longer.

the only thing is that, there is little snacking foods anymore.

More power to you, I’m awful with diets. In my view Las Vegas is a tourist/vacation city, I don’t want any diets or as the above poster put “spiritual needs” interfering with my vacation, or really the overall vibe of vegas that everyone loves.

I doubt anyone's diet is going to interfere with your vacation? It's pretty unlikely that 90% of restaurants are going full Keto or vegan or whatever in the near future.

I wouldn't do Keto because it's pretty much incompatible my lifestyle but why should it bother me if others do?

Crazy to see those prices for everything F1in Vegas. In the past European races were pretty much comparable to the NASCAR experience in the South (minus confederate flags).

Conveniently placed to block the view of the race from the Bellagio rooms.
