Hope those coupons do not have fine print about detaching them only at the point of redemption .....

LVA needs to be in the book, so stuck with it. ACG doesn’t matter, only thing some places care if you don’t have the card.

awesome! I literally did my downtown coupon run just last week - I think overall I was +$200 on it. Mostly broke even on my blackjack match plays but hit a 600 quarter quad 4's on a freeplay. Those coupons are the best. Can't wait til next year so I can do it again!

Oh BTW, not sure if you're aware but for the Boyd properties matchplay coupons (California, Main Street Station, Fremont), you can only use 1 matchplay coupon per 24 hours. All the other places I was able to use both at the same time.

Awesome hit I intend to take advantage of the coupons along with some generous sign up bonuses at a Arizona Charlie’s. Getting a nice hit on VP would make the trip.

Did you use push 22 at the D and 2-1 payoff at Golden Gate?

Aware of the limit on the one per day at Boyd’s which I’m cool with as I’m staying downtown.

Nah, the player's club lady offered to give me those push 22 and 2-1 coupons, but I told her I didn't want them, as I was literally just going to be there to play my matchplays and bounce. I mean, I was assuming you couldn't use those coupons on a matchplay hand, right? That'd be too ridiculous.

I don’t believe you can but I believe these coupons make your BJ session +EV. The opportunity to use the push 22 comes up more than you expect. You do have to make non conventional plays like hit 12 against a 6.

Best Nitastic preamble I have seen.

I think about you holding that fistful of coupons and seeking out the one you are about to use in front of the bemused pit bosses like Eddie Mush holding
a fistful of losing race tickets in front of Sonny and laugh.

Haha, awesome.

Kind of odd though that you are so concerned with germs (hand sanitizer) yet smoke like a chimney.

Thanks for the kind words guys.

The reason for the hand sanitizer is because I’m smoking like a chimney while in Vegas. To avoid the common Vegas crud I sanitize my hands before smoking. Smoking is a disgusting habit, imagine touching chips and money than using those hands to put a cigarette in your mouth. Also to be somewhat civic to my fellow poker players I then use the sanitizer and tic tacs after smoking to hopefully not smell like an ashtray.

A true nit would have picked up the LVA in person to save on the mailing cost.

My trip to the Vegas valley has an additional purpose. I have a friend from school who after college got me a job at GE through his connections. Afterwards I got him a job at my current company in Houston. He eventually left and ended up working a rotation on a offshore oil rig in Eastern Canada. Like many of the oil and gas refugees he recently moved companies and is living out West. He keeps trying to convince me to move out there.

At some point when all the coupons have been used and I’ve had my last comped corned beef, I’ll be driving out into the desert that surrounds Vegas to visit this friend. Hoping to not run into Nicky Santoro and his crew digging holes out in the desert. Don’t want to give him just cause to have did another hole.

Me and Nicky at the book.

Me driving into the desert.

When I hit the road I’ll post pics of what I run into on my journey.

Food options I hope to try while in Vegas. A lot is diner related. I personally find diner type food options are limited in Houston where I live vs. the East Coast or Midwest and Western states so I try to take advantage of options while in Vegas.

Food spots:

- Bagelmani for hash close to Westgate
- Omlet House 2160 W Charleston Blvd
- Blueberry Hill
- Zenaida's Cafe - biscuits and gravy

Oyshi on Sahara for ayce tuna belly yes please
Kabuto - Omikase

Aloha Specialties at the Cal for Saimin noodles and spam musabi

Da_Nit,

Do they still have the 59 Diner on I-10? They were decent before I moved to Fort Worth in 2016. And there was a good one on 45 South and Dixie Farm Road, but the name escapes me.

<side track>The one on Dixie farm closed down. I'm assuming you're talking about the one next to the old strip club that used to be there. <back on track>

Good Nit make all the coopuns work in your favor!!

I think the 59 diners closed. I tried the one on Shepherd and 59 wasn’t a fan. The place on 45 wouldn’t be Dot Coffee?

Not to derail a trip report that hasn’t happened yet too much but I think Houston is really underrated food city. That being said diners/classic breakfast just isn’t a thing. That’s ok taco truck breakfast tacos and kolaches make up for it.

As far as the coupons, I think the $25 match plays at the D and Golden Gate are good and really any that have free play are also very good value.

I also like the $10 in free play for every 100 points earned up $100 at the D and GG. It’s $10 played on VP for every point, so $10K to run through to get $1000FP. They have full pay bonus poker which I think basically makes this break even video poker. Nice to get the VP fix in with no expected value loss. Plus I might even get a free breakfast comped our of it.

Yeah sorry I’m one of the people that starts these threads weeks before I go. I’m getting close though. I intend to post once I get into town about how I slowly nit fold away my stack at $1/$2 and $1/$3 across town. Fold away until I overplay pocket Queens or something.
