Jealous. Always great to go to a big fight down in Vegas, I’ve been to a couple myself and love staying at Cosmo.

How easy was it to transfer Marriot Points to idenity. Each point is with $0.01, correct?

...and we’re up at 10 because Vegas.

The other members of the room (who are permanent residents of Pacific Time)-are all “f off it’s not even 10AM, go back to sleep” but central time me is wide awake, and all things considered feeling pretty good. So we set out on the old Vegas ritual. Walking the strip to the V for breakfast.

Now people always ask why I walk the strip, and it’s because there’s no better combo of scenery architecture and people watching in the world



The B



...I don’t always stay at the B, but when I do I make sure I get Starbucks for breakfast. Because that definitely doesn’t exist in your hometown. How many great breakfasts spots do you have to PASS to get to Starbucks?

We could just sit at the empty bar for breakfast, or we could wait 25 minutes for a table. I just don’t get people I guess



Now if eggslut and a beer is the dinner of champions, then chicken and waffles and bouchon is the breakfast of Kings. Best wake-up meal in America right here.

After lunch we head back to the Cosmo for some dice



Nothing of note. Ended up down 80 after an hour or two. Then it was off to Park MGM, to pick up the tickets. It was good to see some Triple G stuff around town this time around.







And finally we have the tickets.



We head back to the Cosmo and, in an effort to not be a complete waste, this weekend grab a quick run and some weight work. If you want to know who works out at the Cosmo at the boulevard gym Saturday afternoon the answer is no one. I was hear for about an hour, I didn’t see another soul. It was kind of eerie. Nice view from the treadmill tho.

Geez, $800 tix

Tickets were had for less than 800$ (though not by much). I have a ticket taek but I’ll maybe save that for a wrap up post I can type out. Someone said live TRs are hard and I have to agree. I am days behind. But I’m not gonna blasted this TR. I’ll make it to the end.



And we are now in line to get into t-mobile. This is honestly one of the best arenas in the country. Walking through the Park on your way, the vibe outside, the fact that there is booze and gambling within minutes of it. It’s great. If your thinking of coming for a fight or a hockey game. Do it you won’t be disappointed.



The seats. Better in person than in the picture.



The undercard. Fun to watch. But totally screwed up the pacing. I get that the amount of rounds fought was drastically less than the amount of rounds scheduled, but man. The wait between the Munguia thrashing and the main event was LONG. Definitely had an impact on the excitement level imo.

Quick food review (no pics). Had shrimp tacos and a chicken burrito at the Mexican spot behind the loge seats (don’t remember the name). Quite good. Especially for sub 10$ arena meals. Do recommend.

7 Nation army comes on, which means GGG is making the walk and the rematch is on....

Well I have fight video but no fight pics. Maybe I’ll figure out how to post them later.

Anyway, quick fight thoughts (I’ll give some more detailed ones in a summary post). Canelo looked better than the first, GGG looked older than the first. The crowd was even more pro Canelo this time around.

Great fight though! Tons of fun. I had GGG 7-5 but I’m a homer and watching live is always harder to score. Looking forward to watching the replay next week. Unlike last year I had no issue with the decision. It was a close fight and it’s boxing. The one thing that sucks is that one of the cards gave round 12 to Canelo which is terribad (personal opinion), and that swing the whole fight from a draw to a Canelo win. Again, boxing.
