A few questions on The Cosmopolitan A few questions on The Cosmopolitan

I’ll be staying at the Cosmo in a few weeks and have a few questions.

Regarding the room I want –
Balcony
View of fountains from as high as possible
Easy access to pools
Easy access to strip

1) Any luck with $20 trick at Cosmo?
2) Closest place to pick up a few beers for the room?
3) Closest place for cheap eats? Earl of Sandwich, Subway, etc…
4) Is there a shorter way than going out on the strip to get to Aria and Bellagio?
5) Preference on tower (Chelsea or Boulevard) given list above?
6) Looks like 3 pools – just looking for quiet hang out – which pool?
7) Hard to tell from website, what’s the cheapest room with a balcony?

All help and pointers are appreciated.

Thanks!

1 - I gave the checkin clerk $50, and got upgraded from a Studio, to a 1br.
2 - There is a supermarket right across the street.
3 - Panda Express just across walkway, and Aria/PH a short walk.
4 - Bellagio is out of the front/strip exit, turn left, and up the hill. You can get to Aria by heading for the overstrip walkway.
5 - Boulevard if you want quick access to the strip & best (imo) fountain view.
6 - No idea, sorry.
7 - Terrace Studio.

I had room 2196 in the Boulevard Tower, which was a 1br Fountain View. Wasn't sure it would be high enough, but it was just fine.

If you're in a 'Terrace Studio' ask if it's possible to get a high floor room 97/98, or a 95/96/99 if you're in a '1 Bedroom Terrace'

Based on https://www.cosmopolitanlasvegas.com/pools-cabanas it looks like the Chelsea pool is the quietest. You definitely don't want the Marquee pool.

I don't think there is anything "quiet" about anything at Cosmo.

Easiest/shortest way into Aria is to go out through the valet garage, walk west toward the staircase that will take you up next to Vdara and bam you're basically there. You can get to Bellagio that way as well but it might not be shorter than the strip.

Also don't eat at Subway, have some respect for yourself.

I've seen some mention of renovations in Cosmo. I didn't think it was old enough to need any.

Anyone aware of areas to ask for to make sure to get a renovated room?

Earl of Sandwich is in PH across the street. PS quit over analyzing and go have a good time

Rumors MGM is bidding for Cosmo. Not great, Bob.

Boulevard Tower renovations are complete, which I think is the tower the most suited to your strip/fountain requirements.

If you’re in the West/boulevard tower closest to valet, it’s super clearly quicker to take the vdara shortcut to get to the Bellagio. I honestly think it’s quicker even if you’re in the east/marquee tower. Have g really timed it but that lame is a *****

Hard Rock will buy it, not MGM. You heard it here first.

Eggslut for breakfast highly recommended. Secret pizza is also highly recommended apparently, stood in line twice but never made it. Instead you got Five50 at Aria with literally no line ever.

I find secret pizza super overrated - not worth a half hour wait imo. Unless hot chicks in line ofc

Eggslut is terrible. Possibly the worst value in Vegas.

I've never been able to try Eggslut; the line was always absudly long at any time I would be looking for breakfast.

The pizza there is paper thin and has no flavor. It's usually been sitting out for a long time unless you go during a peak time (e.g. 1am-4am). If you happen to go that late because you're blitzed drunk, it's actually decent. If you're sober and there's no hot chicks in line, gtfo and have good pizza elsewhere. Five50 at Aria is a quick walk, and plenty of pizza at PH across the street, if that's what you need.

1) Any luck with $20 trick at Cosmo? Never tried.
2) Closest place to pick up a few beers for the room? Best/Cheapest bet is to make a stop at a store on the way from the airport.
3) Closest place for cheap eats? Earl of Sandwich, Subway, etc… They have a cafe that isn't too expensive. Va Bene. Also every place has a pre-fix during the week that is a bit pricey but a great deal.
4) Is there a shorter way than going out on the strip to get to Aria and Bellagio? Bellagio you need to go out front but it is close. Aria has a walkway on the second floor.
5) Preference on tower (Chelsea or Boulevard) given list above? Unsure.
6) Looks like 3 pools – just looking for quiet hang out – which pool? Chelsea is a bit more chill than boulevard, but not a huge difference. Marquee is their day club.
7) Hard to tell from website, what’s the cheapest room with a balcony? Terrace Studio.

That’s whenever Marquee closes. Also one of the easiest ways to find girls who want to continue to party somewhere else.

Re: place to buy cheap beer. There’s a CVS on the Strip just South of Mandarin Oriental, a Walgreens across the Strip outside of Planet Hollywood and an ABC Store inside the Mircacle Mile Mall.

I found secret pizza to be very greasy and bland. I also did not like Holsteins. I went to both locations twice thinking first times may have been a fluke as there are some big praises for both restaurants in this forum.

The only difference between is Studio and a Bedroom is a door that closes.

Sounds like you got played for $50. For an extra $25 a night I got bumped up from a Terrace Studio to a Terrace Suite

The layout of the room is different (most people I've spoken with prefer the layout of the Studio room - the 1BR has a weird layout for the non-bed area, lots of wasted space. Also the Studio has the jetted tub in the bathroom, where the 1BR has the Japanese soaking tub with a window - I much prefer the jetted tub if I'm going to loofa it up - the soaking tub, while the view is nice, is weird size/shape and you need a giraffe-like neck to actually see out the window while using it.
