I'd mention it if "Least" was in the thread title. Watching about 15 minutes total here and there was enough to tell me it was nothing but a shameless payday.

There's a montage of Vegas scenes that go by quickly. Here they are in order (which clearly makes no sense in any reasonable geographic progression):

1) Stardust (showing "Enter the Night" on the marquee)
2) Harrah's (showing the old Wheel on the facade)
3) Caesar's Palace
4) The Hilton (shown on the reflection on the car windshield)
5) Caesar's Palace with the Mirage in the background
6) Westward Ho, with the Stardust in the background
7) Excalibur
8) Lady Luck with El Cortez in the background
9) and then they roll into the Stardust for the blackjack scenes.
Which was actually at the Freemont(even on the felt in the movie).

You know no part of Rounders is in Vegas, right?

Vegas Vacation is the best one.

Diamonds are Forever has Bond driving down Fremont. Youngsters have never seen cars driving down Fremont, but it's a reminder of good times for me.

Very Bad Things, a good one that shows when degen gets out of hand.

Leaving Las Vegas and Fear and Loathing are head and shoulders above any other Vegas movies.

Yes, it's an interesting view of the underground poker scene in NY and Atlantic City. But at the end he is on his way to Vegas. Rounder 2?

I liked in "the stand" how they walk through the doors of the Plaza and wind up in the Stardust.

For a gambling related movie, I like "Let it Ride". The movie is not the highest quality, but there are some very funny degenerate gambler type of scenes.

For gambling degeneracy, an oldie but a goodie, California Split.

I always watch just the opening scene of Rounders on the way to Vegas, just to see right after he loses it all to remind me of that sick feeling and to not get out of hand. Rarely works though. The fairly recent movie Wild Card with Jason Statham isnt great or anything, but worth watching if you like Vegas. The Entourage episode where they went to Vegas is maybe my fav episode of the series. The Cooler I think is very good and underrated. although not Vegas, i recently watched The Cincinnati Kid with Steve Mcqueen, great, great poker movie

If you have never watched a single episode of Entourage, if you like Vegas, it is def worth 24 mins to watch the episode titled Vegas baby, Vegas.

Thanks for reminding me of this one. OK, not a movie, but still. We have another Vegas montage, probably filmed in 2006. Interesting again to see how many places don't exist or have changed names, even though it was <10 years ago:

Welcome to Vegas sign
NY NY
Paris with the Aladdin in the background
Luxor sphynx with The Hotel in the background
Ballys
"Body English" (Hardrock)
"Splash" at Riviera
Mirage
Circus Circus
Ballys
Stardust
Ballys
Treasures
Hard Rock

"Go" with Katie Holmes and Tim Olyphant is basically a drug deal gone bad but part of it takes place in Vegas and I thought was good.

Entourage is kinda dumb but there's great scenes of blackjack (I noticed that they were playing with tournament chips).

Vince is paid $100,000 for an appearance at a party at the Hard Rock. When they check into the room, there's a giant roll of cash sitting on the coffee table. Vince and Ari are going partners on all of the gambling wins or losses for the weekend. He goes downstairs and buys in for the full amount. (what, no players card?).

Spoiler:
He goes on a mini-heater but soon has lost it all. He doesn't seem worried. Ari takes over, and doesn't do any better. Great scenes of him berating the dealer and yelling loud curses at the cards.

Later, when they are down $210,000, Vince gets another marker for $100,000. He puts out $75K on a hand, and gets 88. Split. another 8. Split. Now he has $225,000 on the table. He gets 18, 17, and then a three for 11 on his last one. Double down! There's $300,000 on the hand now.

Spoiler:
He gets a 3 for 14!

Then the guy sitting in 3rd base has KK. He splits! To universal scorn. He gets a ten and another ten.

Spoiler:
now the dealer, who was showing a 5, turns over her hole card.

Spoiler:
It's a 6, so taking the tens was a good move.

Spoiler:
She pulls a 3, for 14....

Spoiler:
"Ari, remain positive; summon the cards from above."

Spoiler:
She pulls a ten! Money!

And the final quote: "Does money won feel better than money earned or am I nuts?" -Ari Gold

Perhaps you movie folks can help me. My first serious trip to Vegas was April 1990. I went to the IP to see the car museum, and the famous Preston Tucker car. Later that night, about 3 in the morning, the dark red Tucker was OUT downtown, with 'Just married' decorations on it on Fremont St driving towards the plaza (obv Pre FSE) and it looked like they were filming a movie scene with it. I snapped a photo which I still have but would have to dig up. I can't find any evidence to this day of a movie with this scene. Any info appreciated.

Actually, if you asked a taxi driver to take you to the stardust - this is the exact route they would of taken you.... "gets really busy this time of day"

Do you have honeymoon in Vegas? I really shouldn't have liked that film, but weirdly kind of enjoyed it. Set it ballys with Nicholas cage.

Yea was a cringeworthy film. The highlight for me was when Morgan freeman was sat at the blackjack table. The rest was garbage lol.

Oops reply fail to the last Vegas post

Casino by far for me.
Then maybe the ocean's movies. The cooler was eh for me. But William H is solid in everything he does.

I don't really understand why stingers gets all the hype it does. I thought it was pretty awful.
