Amen.

Though I do intend to hit the Kiss Monster Mini Golf course at the Rio, but that's because I'm a gigantic Kiss fan.

Solo is the way to go. Do what you want, when you want, if you want.

Love doing the solo trip. I'll be running solo May 15-18 playing mostly at Aria and maybe some of the lower end properties.

Have done the Vegas solo trip a few times and absolutely loved it every time but once. And that one time was only because I lost at everything I played.

Just booked another solo trip for 4 days in mid-July. Absolutely can't wait.

At airport about to get on flight to Vegas for solo trip. Was supposed to be a work thing, but the work thing fell apart last minute, decided to just go anyway.

Good Times!

I do a trip every summer with a group of 6-7 guys for 4 nights.

This year I booked 11 nights. 5 nights solo before they arrived, 2 nights solo at the end. It was awesome and I will definitely do it again. The only thing that sucks is when you have a losing session, going back to your hotel room alone is a bit of a downer.

I've been looking at cheaper hotels like bally's/harrahs but the resort fees are kinda crazy,I also checked airbnb those come without fee's but also in the hotel. If anyone could help - thanks

Are you open to off strip properties? If so you should consider the Orleans or downtown.

I would but i think cabbing back and forth would be too much of a hassle for me, unless there are games there ?

Orleans has a pretty healthy poker room, and they have a free shuttle to the Strip.

I assume you mean from condo/hotels like MGM Signature, Vdara, etc. Those aren't casinos hotels.

If you're only going for 4-5 nights and don't have a car, stay on the strip whether in a traditional hotel or one of the hotel/condos you're looking at. Yes, resort fees suck but you're only there for a short time and you don't want the hassle of commuting.

I've done it solo, and it can be a pretty isolating experience, but that's just the way it is, as I do not go clubbing, etc. The good news is that is forces you to interact with new people, unless you want to really isolate yourself, and getting out of your comfort zone that way is probably good. Definitely not a bad way to do it, as long as you have a bit of social savvy and can get out of your head a bit.

I would suggest turning off your phone so that you make sure you connect with actual live humans during the trip. Take a break from the nonstop data and social media, etc.

Stay at Bally's, Flamingo, Harrah's. No question at all, good price and the location is right where you want to be the first time to Vegas. Dont worry about the resort fee, just add it to the cost, it is what it is. Off strip is not fun, the action is on the strip, just walking around you will be way happier. For poker you can walk out front door of them properties and go left or right and find great rooms with in 10 minute walk. I am telling you stay at one of them budget/lower priced properties and you will not regret it. The rooms are just fine to sleep in, i have not had a bad room, i have had an old/dated room but it was just fine. Solo is great, eat, drink, poker, wander, sleep when you want, where you want. Just do it, no worries!!!

If you're gonna eat Panda more than once, make sure to do the survey from the receipt, get a free third choice next meal. You can then use that receipt and continue the process, infinite free third choice!

Booked a 3 night stay for the end of the coming week, using AirBnB to get my room (west of the Strip) at less than half the cost of even the cheaper strip hotels such as Bally's. Lyft or Uber to the Strip as needed, but mostly to Orleans for Omaha action.
This will be my 3rd solo trip in 5 years, and I take pride in holding my personal costs down when solo, since I'm married and don't feel the need to impress anyone.
