Don't be. I'm going to search it out and give it a read. Thanks!

The craps tables were filled so I went back to pai gow.

Things were going good. I had chips, I had Corona, and I had fireball. Now, I'm left with just Coronas. In for 1k. Legooo

I'm not sure how much that is but it's more than the $500 I started with.

Well that was the best craps session of my life. In for $500, got low so got $300 more. Cashed out $3600...and that was after bleeding back $500-$1000. I'm not sure how long I played or how many beers I drank, but I'm sure the answer to both is A LOT!

Lost 1k at pai gow but won back 2800 at craps, so we'll call it a pretty good day.

After his year of dedication, he had little to no success on the mini-tours, and concluded that the difference between a 3-handicapper and a tour pro was much, much bigger than the difference between a 20-handicapper and a 3-handicapper, and that the "Fine Green Line" was in fact a chasm between where his game was and the game that the pros we see on TV play. A very good read, for those who enjoy golf.

I know several guys that played mini tours and are really good and have also played with some guys that have played on tour and the difference is pretty large. One night we were having dinner with a long time tour player, played for 20+ years on the tour with 4 wins and getting into the top 30 of the world golf rankings at one point in his career. At the time I was a 3 handicap and we had two other guys at dinner that were scratch golfers (at one point both got to be around +1). We asked the former tour pro if the 3 of us could win a major if we were allowed to scramble and he told us we had no shot.

I always like to golf in Vegas, but can never get myself to do it June through August. Nice round and thanks for the pics!

Nice craps win! I like pai gow as well. Why no 3rd base? Just more room on the corners?

Not a whole lot going on today so far. Slept in pretty late and spent the rest of the morning nursing a bit of a hangover headache as well as a sore shoulder from so much fist pumping at the craps table last night. Got checked out of PH and into Sam's Town in a standard park view king room. Sam's has to have the most basic generic rooms in Vegas, but it serves the purpose...and this one happens to have a leaky toilet that turns on every 3-4 minutes to refill. Yes, I timed it. Hopefully they can get that fixed in short order.

Now that I'm unpacked and settled in to my new home for the next 4 nights, it's time to head downstairs, grab some food, and try to start a new run at the tables.

Seat selection yesterday was solely so I could look up at the TV and watch the NBA playoffs without having to keep turning around.

I had planned to get up this morning and grab breakfast but as often happens, last night ran late and I slept right through breakfast. Made up for that just now. Pretty basic stuff from T.G.I.Fridays, but it hit the spot and was only about $10.

Walked up to the only open craps table mid roll. Watched one guy shoot for 10 minutes or so till he finally hit a point. I bought in at that point for $500 and he rolled for another 20 minutes. I took my turn and rolled for around 15 minutes. After our turns I was up about $1000. Gave a little back on the next roll before coloring up at +$825. Dice are fun!

Better late than never?

I realize I never did a bankroll pic. It wasn't because I forgot, or out of laziness, but a lack of bankroll. I hadn't been able to get by the bank during business hours in the days leading up to the trip, so I had been pulling $500\day from the ATM but was only up to 2k. I planned to stop at the bank today when switching hotels to get another 2-3k if needed. It wasn't. Here's where the bankroll stands now.

Six pairs of shoes, six golf caps/hats, and one ATM card!

Not the way I would have wanted to begin a LV trip, but it seems you (almost) knew what you were doing. Enjoying the TR and hoping for more run good.

There are few things more fun inside a casino than a hot craps table, but I'm not sure I have ever seen one with only one or two players. Well done!

Just got back from picking J up at the airport. His flight didn't leave Phoenix until after it was already supposed to have been in Vegas, so instead of being back here by 9:30-10, it's now 11:30. Looks like another round of golf tomorrow coming off about 4 hours of sleep. At least I won't have a hangover to deal with.

Serious question...you have multiple ATM cards? Is that standard and I'm doing it wrong?

And the table wasn't just 1 or 2 people. There were actually 8-10. It's just that the one guy had a very long roll, and I only caught the last 20-30 minutes of it. I went right after him and rolled for quite a while myself. I was at the table almost an hour and we only went through 3 shooters. Looking back, I probably should've won more, but I wasn't spread across all the numbers like I was most of last night.

I have no ATM cards; actually I might have one in a drawer that I have forgotten about. I have not used an ATM in > 20 years. I do have several credit cards that I might be able to use in an ATM but never thought about doing that or even ensuring that I could use them.

That makes more sense about the craps table than the way I read it. Sounds like a fun time!
