smooth sailing so far. flight was good.
yeah I realized that Lotus opens later on Sunday so I went to Fogo de Chao. It was wonderful. I'm not going to compare it to anywhere else but it was a wonderful meal and experience. the pic isn't worth sharing though (not really a photogenic restaurant/meal by nature.

here's the room at Aria. it's fine. Everything is automatic. unlock the door with your phone and the blinds open, but the view is a joke, I'll share that later.
went to the pool for a bit, now to hit the poker room

OP, I think you are played this wrong. If I were you, I would check raise your wife and hope she leaves you. If you’re young enough you could possibly rebuy. If not and late reg is over, that’s actually the better runout because marriage is obviously bad value considering the structure and rake…

Also, is the reference to "1 Wife" indicative of a Utah lifestyle in Bismark, one where you have to assign them numbers ?

Also, can you clarify if the title of the thread means in light of your outcome so far, your wife won't let you come back to Las Vegas or back to Bismarck ?

I would know if I played bad, it was just some bad beats. I had K 10 which got two top pair only to get flushed out on the river. another time was dominating with AQ only to get beat by A9 on the river. I was at an interesting table, guy on my right limped and called nearly every hand. tough to take advantage of though because guy on my left was loose aggressive and reraised most of the time.
unfortunate reality is I just didn't get many hands worth playing. the LAG commented that I was too tight but I'm normally not. did bluff successfully a few times.
oh well it's a new day! time to go hit a daily tourney

New day brought a little luck. a little video poker gave me a win and after asking the desk, they covered my resort fee. I'll take what I can get.
Flamingo daily tourney, only 3 payout spots?? I did pretty well but died on the bubble. went all in, guy called with 8-4 and matched both on the flop. what can I say

@Langdon hoping your wife still lets you back. I just reread your original post and it mentions most of your live poker has been a free league. I almost feel that those leagues hurt live cash game play. If you want to log some poker hours I’d recommend micro stakes online cash. Also be ok with room and table jumping. If you don’t feel there’s at least one donating fish/whale or least a couple players less competent than you ask for a table change or just leave to another room.

I played in a small tourney at Binions on Wednesday. They have a weird tourney structure; $75 buy-in, but you can pay $25 for a double stack so it's really $100. I was wanting one last tournament and the rake was low, just 20%, which was the best that I could find on pokeratlas.
anyway, it was moving along. with 3 players left they asked if I wanted to chop. I declined. and I ended up winning it straight up for $680. so there's some dignity.
