What did everyone get?

Pretty sure now that caesars is charging to breathe air in their casinos this will probably be the next thing they do away with.

Heading down now got about 150 to spend on the leftovers

Nothing. I made out my list of the stuff I wanted to get. It would've cost me about 50% of the total value just to drive up, plus wear and tear on my car, plus 16 hours of driving, plus I had a cold. So I just said **** it.

freeplay is always what i get, everything else besides gift cards are overvalued.

35k pts for a $100 gift card, if you do the math on the gifts you want your better off paying for it and grabbing the equivalent amount of points in gas cards or something, unless you have tons of points.

Not knowing all the rules, why would people do this vs. free play? Even running it through the worst slot machine in the house would almost certainly have a higher EV than this, plus I'd rather have cash than gift cards.

I didn't see free play in the online listing of stuff you can get. Maybe it's only available there in the room.

This is the first year I went. (I feel foolish because I'm sure I had decent amount of ev from grinding at Rio all summer in 2015) got $75 in prepaid mastercards that I guess they have to mail. Used the rest to try and get a phone charging cable. I go to pick it up and they only have lightning cables, no android micro usb. So I got $10 for sbux instead. $6 for a cold pressed juice, sick profit margin, it's no wonder there is a sbux on every corner!

Ended up getting 6 25 gift cards. Kinda sucks because i was planning on handing a few of them out as christmas gifts, get to the register and they're sold out and have to be mailed in 6-8 weeks. Bad Beat

They were out of the $25 gas cards but they had plenty of $10 ones for 3500 points each available. That's what I did because it took forever and a bunch of phone calls last year when they told me they would mail them. I had enough points for 15 $10 gas cards.

Because people don't make decisions based on maximum EV. If they did, casinos would be out of business

Either that or why risk a bad run on only a handful of pulls when you can have a known quantity that's only slightly less than the EV of the slot play?

For me it's a 1:1 conversion for earning TCs for the next year. For most people they are better off getting gift cards, as many other items in there are horrible value if you go by the conversion rate of 35k points = 1 $100 gift card.

There was no mention of using these points for free play online or in person... pretty sure these points are completely separate from Reward Credits and Tier Credits and are stand alone to only be redeemed in the Great Gift Wrap up selection of "stuff"

Had 160k points to burn and put most of it into Lowes gift cards since have several future plans for the casa! Took the gf along this year for the luls and she picked out some knives and a wine opener. Took the slightly -$EV route to give her the feeling of "shopping"

Exchanged 240K points for $800 in freeplay at Cromwell to take advantage of the best VP pay tables among the Caesars properties.

Played mine through 9/6 JOB (99.54% payback). Ran well and cashed out with over a 100% return.

Yep just caught up on trooper vids explaining they did have the free play... no idea how I have missed this two years in a row... oh well!

Nice work Zen, that's clearly the way to do it!

So 300 pts = $1 Freeplay?

25c denomination only I think, and it only gives 1 TC per $50 wagered, but for running freeplay through 1X, it's perfect.

They have had a bank of full pay quarter machines for about a year now. You'll know you've found them when you see they pay 1 TC for every $50 of coin in (i.e. the slot director knows he has a bank of full pay coins.) IIRC they are towards the Strip.

Bally's has the same type of crappy $50/TC 9/6 in their high limit area.

For quarters, though? I'm not aware of this.

I don't care that they don't full pay rewards. I care that I have somewhere on the Strip that I can kill an hour with my wife and have a drink without getting killed from an EV standpoint.
