1 tc for $5 coin-in? I haven't heard of those. Whereabouts are they? Are they marked so you can tell they're 1 tc for $5?

I must have worded it wrong, as they actually pay 1 TC for $50 coin in, versus the normal $10. The JOB is 9/6 and the DB is 9/7/5. The machines are clearly marked in a bank near the strip entrance.

Lousy for chasing Tier Credits but the only remaining playable CET games that I know of.

I think Bally's has something like that in the high limit area, but they are $5 credits minimum.

Rio and Caesars do for high limits(9/6) Last I saw was $25 per credit.

Some good news on the Tier Credit front. The credits for a 5 night trip this month just posted on my account, and it registered as 5 TC per dollar. Not sure if this is permanent or a short term promotion.

It's a promo they've been running just about all year. Mentioned often in emails and on the TR site.

Cromwell is more like "available" than open. Unmanned, no spa, but does have a full dumbbell rack.

The others close at 6 or 7, though I think Linq may be accessed after hours with hotel room key.

Paris spa, btw, is, like Linq and C's, no longer free to Diamond cards.

Need some advice from the experts in here. Harrah's in New Orleans has a promo where you swipe and get a 3x-100x reward credit multiplier (excludes video poker). Won the 100x today. What's a good way to maximize for someone who knows the rules to other pit games but is going to play sub-optimally? (Only ever play poker in the casino and they give you a lowly 17.5 RCs per hour here)

Verified that both PHo and Rio vp has been gutted into mediocrity. Bonus poker cut to 7/5 and the JoB I remember at 9/6 is now 8/5! I may give up on this crap after next year. The only reason I come to Vegas any more is for the WSOP or trying to build credits for Diamond. I'm having to pay for rooms now no matter when I want them and I'm finally getting bored with the WSOP after ten+ years of it.

+1 I booked a room through a 3rd party the other week and they charged me resort fees even though I am diamond. Said I have to book through them to be comped resort fees. The rates I get on my calendar are always terrible and get much better deals elsewhere.

Only benefit to me was the resort fees but it’s useless now, guess a plus is I don’t have to play/stay at there terrible properties anymore.

That is standard, they have to pay the 3rd party for booking it, so you have to pay resort fees.

Of course, you’d have to be rated accurately first, which is more difficult that one would hope.
This.

Though if you're betting $350/hand for 10 hours at 100 hands per hour (assuming 3 people at the table) that's $350k wagered, which would mean an average expected loss of somewhere in the $1600-$2k range depending on rules I think.

That's not a crazy amount is it? Comps of 12% of that don't get anyway near 5 nights of a room.

That said I basicallly never play table games and when I do it's minimal and CET comp me midweek rooms all the time....

If this applies to poker, then 17.5 RC = 17.5 cents, and so isn’t 100X = $17.50/hr?

There is no playable VP remaining at CET joints that I know of, that accumulate Tier Credits at 1 per $10. The Rio games were playable for many years.

First, you are right. I'm a Triple Double Bonus player, and 9/7 is considered full pay. You can still find it at Cromwell, but it is 1 TC per $50.

Rio does still have a few 9/6 machines that give 1 TC per $10, which although not full pay, is not too bad. Many of the machines are worse though - I've seen as bad as 8/5, which is terrible.

Perks of being a full time wsop grinder is you hit Diamond within about a month. 50k Tier credits and counting on the year. Are these good for anything other than all of the free rooms?

I have never gotten hit with a resort fee on 3rd party booking, sucks if that's an official change.

I'm not sure exactly, but there's gotta be a way to turn this +ev. I'd consider video blackjack (check paytables). If not that, find the lowest edge game (maybe video craps?) and go from there.

Do you get it for a full 24hr period, or what?
