Sure seems like only new benefits this time around. Diamond rewards got screwed over last year with the removal of 4 night complimentary stay.

1 free night for every 5k points, up to 7 nights.
Does that include bonus points or just base points?

You asked at a good time. I was 2 steps from a total rewards desk. It required talking with a supervisor as
the front line employee had never heard of it before. Supervisor said base and bonus tier credit earned will count, so earning 5,000 Tier Credits in a day would get the 10,000 Tier Credit bonus, 3 free nights + all the benefits of Diamond Status.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I do DIAD using video poker and I get offers for free stays plus $50-200 worth of gaming credit all the time. I book rooms whenever I want at any property and have never paid for a room. I do give them some action on my 4-6 visits a year but I'm never much above 25k tier credits. I guess I didn't realize you could be diamond and not get tons of free rooms.

I've been Diamond for the last couple of years, also from vp, but my free rooms are only at Flamingo, etc, on a random Sun-Thu. If this new free room benefit is at any time, which I doubt, it will be of some value. But I suspect they will only be available at times and places nobody wants to go anyway.

Does this mean you get the "fee" removed also being Diamond? Just curious cause at Plat I get comp rooms (but pay the fee) Sun-Thurs most weeks for PH, Bally's, Flamingo, Harrah's; some times one or two of them increase and there is a charge but most weeks I can get one of them. This year PH has pretty much always been comped during the week.

Yes, diamond does not pay resort fees, they are waived.
When and where in vegas Total Rewards comps rooms is a function that seems to be based on a few things, Level of Play is the biggest factor, the rest who knows but in no particular order:

Time of year
How far in advance you want the room.
Room availability.
What is going on in vegas.
What is going on at a specific property.

Some examples, Casear's and the Cromwell are less likely to give out free rooms then say the flamingo or harrahs. Weeknights are more likely to be comped then weekends. Summer months are easier to get comped rooms. Big events are harder to get rooms, especially close, such as super bowl weekend or new years.

Also, if there is even the slightest chance you are going to vegas on certain dates and the rooms are listed as comped, just book them, you can always cancel up to 72 hours in advance. They announced WSOP dates the other day, comps were available so i booked a few sets of dates already, when i finalize plans in a few months i will just cancel the ones i don't need. I can't say for sure that this doesn't affect future comps, but i have been booking and cancelling rooms i don't need throughout the year for many years and it hasn't seemed to affected things. YMMV.

You can actually cancel comped rooms day of the reservation until 6pm for Vegas

I agree book comped rooms if there's any chance you will use them, especially weekends

As for it being better to book far in advance-thats not always the case
Lots of times rates drop/become comped as the date gets closer

You can always book then cancel and rebook at the cheaper rate/comped when this happens

Same strategy works well with Southwest airlines.

rubix and borg,

Very helpful info, thanks. Do you guys cancel via the total rewards website or via phone? More importantly is how soon after the cancellation can you book around the days you just cancelled?

BTW, total rewards is being rebranded as Caesars rewards.

Yeah it’s not the cumulative TCs that get you room offers, it’s the ADT - your ADT is capped w poker, never worth it to Caesars to toss you a room no matter how much you grind

TS2 also does it via online poker, which seems to be a whole different animal from anything live regarding things like ADT and comps. He often fails to mention that fact, leaving some people confused.

I cancel online and then the dates are available to rebook immediately

You're getting a lot better comps than me. I generally can get maybe 10 nights a month at their cheapest properties.

Yes, no resort fee.

I can only have three active reservations at a given time, so I only make reservations for times I'm fairly certain about.

You can only book 3 online
You can have 5 (and sometimes 6) if you call up to book

thought that was self explanatory with how much rake paid etc in that post... I don't set foot on a caesars property generally and online tier credits go in once a month so I dont know what they do with it regarding adt.... ~4k tier once a month for 12 months thats how my tier score was done in 2018 ( a few bonus end of year 20% bonus etc)

Every time you log in that’s a gaming action or whatever they call it which adds a day to the denominator of your ADT calc

so you could get pretty close to what they use when calculating your ADT by dividing base TCs earned by however many days you logged into wsop.com

Like let’s say there’s a 1/2 CET promo grinder who puts in 8 hrs a day at 17 TCs/hr

That’s 136 TC/day (well short of any daily bonus fwiw)

To compare that with a single line $1 VP player (lowest stakes you can find anything resembling a FP table on the strip) who is wagering $5 per pull, earning 1/2 a TC each hand will reach 136 TCs in about 27 minutes (600 hands/hr pretty easily done by any VP reg)

It was just a matter of time. CET has found yet another way to bend customers over for something that used to be free. You can now reserve seats in the Caesars sports book for the Super Bowl. Front row seats are $300!

Standard Sunday seats are $100 I believe. Which is insane being that you could watch the Sunday action at a number of other nice Sportsbooks for $0.

I'm going to be working near enough to Harrah's in Joliet that I can stay there for a week or so. When I look at the calendar it's showing all of January, except weekends, as comp nights, but when I go to book it they will only comp 2 nights. Will they do more if I call? Can I just make multiple reservations back to back?
