Not hearsay. They actually publishel it right on the website, but will only do it in person. I also have tried the local Tunica casino, Gold Strike and they won't do it either. Unfortunately I missed matching my Hyatt Diamond to Mlife Gold when they changed to the World of Hyatt program a couple of years ago otherwise I wouldn't have this issue. The kicker is if they counted award stays any other year prior this one I would qualify for Explorist.

The answer is "no".

So I tried to spend a hundred bucks at All American Bar & Grill take-out. Too tired to sit in a restaurant and just wanna kick back and eat while watching tv in my room.

Definitely, I've used it there every year for the past 3-4 years. lobster, filet mignon, caviar, lobster bisque are my favorites, and the champagne will let you get your moneys worth, but since the meal is comped, who cares? Enjoy.

Can I use my Diamond Card to waive resort fees for my friend? I was told that as long as I'm with them at check-in they won't have to pay but it sounds a bit suspect to me.

Yes you have to be added to the room and with them.
Just an fyi you can only have resort fees waived on one room at a time. So for example if you have a room already a friend couldn't add you to his room to get the resort fee waived.

You just check in with them, both of your names on room like mentioned above and have them put up the credit card, then you don't have to worry about them charging up room service or movies or taking robes, etc. from room.

Even better, if you have a lot of points have them pay you cash on check out and use your points to pay.

If the room was booked through a third party then this may not work though; for example, Expedia or Travelocity.

If the room was booked directly through Caesars, then this may work.

On the resort fees for friends note. I just got upgraded to Diamond.

I need to book 4 rooms for a trip in January and I'm the only one with any status going. Do I just have to suck it up and pay resort fees and normal Diamond-prices on 3 of 4 rooms?

Arguably but you could also get it for $200 in vp EV out of town or $500 in vegas
