When you're in the Diamond Lounge it looks like everyone in the casino is Diamond but that's only because only Diamonds are let in. Go look at a hotel check-in line sometime and see how many people are waiting because they're NOT diamond.

With the Quests not including poker and it getting harder to get a substantial number of tc's towards Diamond, I was having doubts on my last trip on whether it was worth the expense and effort. Then I went down to Hash House and saw 20 people standing in the "ordinary people" line. Nobody, zip, zero in the Diamond/7S line. Yes, it's worth it.

Hopefully they wait until the middle of October again this year to announce this lol Sorry im still a bit salty about last year...

Any email you get should say it at the bottom I basically get them almost every day, for the people who aren't sure all you have to do is go to the TR booth and have them look up an offer code to see if you're truly opted in also for Feb they retro activated me for the 4x Gift point days.

Love the cutting it makes you feel fuzzy I won't say special LOL because I know some bonehead will get it twisted...but anyway the day I went to the Flamingo there was only one 7star all the rest were Diamond so get there early you get in and out fast! However I think it's the opposite for Caesers a lot more 7 stars I bet!

I don't think its some sort of trick of the mind to say its easier to get diamond today than it was say 5-7 years ago. There are just so many more opportunities (even in quest poker is not one of them), between the myriad of offers, shopping, dining, hotel stays, credit card, online app specials, etc. In any case, I never said it wasn't worth it. I just said they're likely going to make it more difficult by raising the required points. And my experience with the line-cutting is hit and miss. Sometimes its great. But sometimes they lump diamond and platinum together and that definitely makes things less speedy.

i am as well- and last year i had a day where i earned 2500 base tc and a day where i earned 1000 base tc and go zero offers (did have comped rooms on my calender.) this year i just have some 25-200 point days but also about 10 days in vegas where i stayed in there hotels and no played them and am getting all kinds of offers.

I've heard rumors that 7 stars no longer get complimentary rooms with 48 hours notice this year. Anyone able to confirm/deny?

This was the entire reason I planned on grinding 7S so meh. I asked about it at the Rio and the entire staff seemed completely clueless.

The main thing is how fast Double Super Times Pay runs coin-in through the machine. With enough luck and/or bankroll, it's under 2 hours to do the 2500 tc. Thanks Gobbo and everyone else who mentioned it.

Overall expectation is close or maybe even the same I guess. It would be about as fast as 5 line in DSTP. I like the occasional multipliers in DSTP though. I like them maybe a little too much.

Yeah, they did this for me last year when I was raising so much hell about CET maybe not being one of their partners. The spouse thing carries on to the next year too, hopefully forever. I've reupped already this year and GF is also still Diamond. You can probably get the $295 locked in forever too, if it's not already. Mine is.

So I haven't been to a CET property in about 2.5 years. In that year I earned 15k+ TC over 2 trips, my host was always coming through with my rooms requests, etc (i.e. I had a good rating). Since then I had been continuing to get good offers and my calendar rates for a week stay would always show 5 comped/wk and cheap rates for the other days. Last fall I stopped getting offers, and my rates are barely below rack. This is because I was idle for over 2 years, so the system basically reset me, right?

Yeah, I called them last month and told them I was considering letting my membership lapse and they offered free spouse for life and 295/yr prepaid for 2 years.

I imagine with CET, you’ll get what you paid for with that free spouse.
