You shouldn't post that in the forum where anyone who googles can use it.

For those looking into this. If the diamond alone is worth it than its a good deal. The rest of the stuff is not as good as it looks and the whole thing is a bit of a pyramid scheme as your get better benefits only by recruiting new members.

Founders Card well worth it IMO just for Diamond status. No resort fees saves $25+ night plus the $100 dining card, lounge access, and VIP line for WSOP entries (priceless). You'll be thanking me when you see those "colossal" lines.......Do it now in time for WSOP! All the other perks just gravy!
If anyone's thinking of joining, how about letting one of the guys who's been in the thread, helping out with information, get the referral? One of us can get you the same deal as that code will get you and one of your fellow poker players will get a little bonus!

I'm not sure if it's you or me who doesn't know what a pyramid scheme is, but pretty sure it's you. The diamond is well worth it if you stay at CET properties more than a few times a year, and while I won't use probably 90% of the benefits available, this will easily pay for itself for me, even without the benefits of recruiting people. The benefits don't get better for referring people, you just get points that you can trade in for Visa cash cards and other kinds of gift cards. My membership ended up being about $300 a year, which is 12 days worth of not paying resort fees!

Just a note: Even though they dont charge the resort fee for diamond members, internet is not free.

Yeah, I learned this the hard way too. Luckily, the staff at the Diamond counter was kind enough to take it off my bill after I plead ignorance.

Wat? So it's active and you have to know not to use it otherwise get charged?

You usually have to enter in your room number and last name and it will activate it.

It's typically free for the people that pay resort fees. Diamond status exempts you from paying those resort fees, but then you lose access to the services that are supposed to be provided from those fees, including internet and access to the gyms/spas. Though it's at the receptionists discretion to just give those to you.

Criminey I didn't expect the FC card to actually be metal. Ferguson or Ricky Jay could end someone with this thing. So no one carries this around on their person, right?

I just got mine in the mail too. The edges seem pretty damn sharp! I don't think there's any reason in the world to carry it, unless maybe you're going to one of the monthly parties. My usual "wallet" is a rubber band, so I'm definitely not carrying it around!

An FYI since I stuck myself in a long line at the Avis in LAS...you can proceed straight to the lot if you have used the FC Avis code (whatever the designation is on the site doesn't match what is on the sign at the rental center but the person at the counter said I could have gone directly downstairs).

Sounds like TSA might take it away from you.

Not sure about AC, but definitely worth it in Vegas.
You get free beer/wine if you're diamond at Bacchanal? I had no idea.

Haha man I doubt CET in general is the pinnacle of custserv but this whole diamond thing is pretty cool. Staying at PHO and got back in while the traffic is insane because of a concert...skipped a massive valet line. Getting drinks in the lounge now. Lol

Yes, separate Valet lines for both pickup and drop off. Also when valet is full, they will usually still take Diamond/7Stars.

Yeah, there was some Latin concert and the queue in to the self-park at PHo/Miracle Mile if you're familiar with the area, was almost back out to Harmon. The "regular" valet line is near the self-park entrance but the Diamond/7S valet is right in front of the lobby entrance. They were blocking it all off because even the Diamond lot was full, but when I showed the card, the guy waved me forward. Gonna be a sad day when this whole thing is over with.

Mike & Terrance mentioned on the pokercast a couple weeks back that Diamonds got half price at the Rio buffet. I used to be Diamond but don't recall this benefit existing. (I think it was advertised that locals got half price.). Is this true?

Also, I know Diamonds used to get free admission to Pure at Caesars. Is there any similar deal at the new club?

I only ever had it for breakfast, and it seemed decent to me. And I had the seafood buffet once because I had a coupon and thought it was much better than some reviews suggest.

And obviously I meant Adam and Terrance mentioned this benefit.

To follow on to this, the signs at the LAS rental center say something like "Preferred customers please proceed to kiosk downstairs" or something like that. The Avis First you sign up for through Founders Card is above Preferred, so you can go straight to the cars as well.

Just got my upgrade to Diamond through FC. Took a month and me nagging them to get it done because I leave for a 5 night Vegas trip tomorrow, but it showed up this afternoon.

About 8 days late, but my wife and I really enjoyed the Rio Breakfast Buffet when we lived there...the bacon is probably the best I ever had and by the looks of things I've had a lot of bacon.
