I'm going to be forced to use mine at Harrahs SoCal. Won't be making it back to Vegas before the end of January. Fiore's here we come, I guess.

On this visit to the Rio, they offered me to not get my room housekeeped, and gave me $40 towards my food bill. Nice, although 40 bucks doesn't go far in a Vegas hotel, even the Rio.

Per day? If so, I would take the deal in a heartbeat.

If not, probably not so much (even though I was told, last time I stayed at the Rio, that they required housekeepers to complete more than 20 non-checkout rooms per shift, and it showed ).

I believe it is $10 per day. They may or may not give it to you for one of the days of your stay since they have to clean your room anyway once you depart.

That is how it worked in November at Harrah's. For a 4 night stay I received a $30 food credit. To use it you must eat in one of their overpriced restaurants and charge the meal to your room.

Or you could eat at the food court and charge $10 of the $12 bill to your room and pay cash for the rest. There are ways to nit it up.

The 1K Tier credits per night have not automatically posted to my account from the NRNE17TR New Room New Empire Promo code. It has been 12 days since I checked out. I guess I’ll have to go ask someone at Total Rewards about it this week.

I know "VIP" is only $60pp F&B, which tells me it's nothing special, but can't really find any information online. If it's an actual separate area with nice seating and big ol' TV viewing, that's fine; but if it's just reserved seating with the hoi polloi, eh....
Update: it was a horrible option and we didn't do it. The book sucks overall, and the "VIP" is simply a reserved table up in the restaurant, i.e., no comfy chairs. We paid the $125 pp (with three drink tickets each) for Caesars. Worth it.

Update #2: Got this done easy at $70 a spin at Double Super Times in the high limit room at PH, and made a decent amount doing so with a 10x bonus quad aces hand pay and a few more quads.

What does that get you? What kind of spot?

We were right in the middle, but I think it's same price for everywhere, unless you want to pay $200 for an elevated seat and your own little table area. That didn't seem that much better.

Made an inquiry through the TR app and they emailed me saying that the 1K tier credits per night will be posted to my account 30 days after checkout, which for this reservation would be late December.

My Dec 14-18 reservation with the same promo code would presumably be credited in 2018.

May I ask what a reasonable downswing at a 2500 or 5k tc session of doing this would be? I get that it’s $250 in ev or whatever but how easy is it to torch 3-4k for example? Thanks

It doesn’t take much at all. I went with friends from a Vegas board to Harrahs NOLA in September and I did more drinking than gambling and I’ve had a host blowing up my email ever since from CET. I’m a Palazzo girl in Vegas with a dash of Cosmo.

Venetian makes you pay the tax (not tr I know)

Some waiters try and tell you that you owe the tsx so they can steal the money

hm.. Caesars Palace Las Vegas has $50 9/6 JoB (99.54%) at $10 coin-in per tier credit.

that's $250 per spin.
$50k coin-in for DiaD thus 200 spins, which takes around 20min.

flushes and higher will result in a w2-g

That's a pretty expensive way to buy Diamond. It could easily cost you 10 or 20 grand if you run cold.

I am hoping this is true. Just checked out this week from a stay using this promo and want the credits for 2018. I also have 2 more reservations in 2018 with this promo so hopefully will get 15K tier credits from this promo alone and match that with my 10K poker credits that I'll easily earn in a few months, and free lounge in 2018 here I come!

Surprised it's still showing.

I played 4 2500TC sessions on this earlier this year, my results were:

-2170
+8125
+800
+3165

Obv ran really well (Royal with 3x multiplier FTW).

Very nice. All I can confirm is that my Nov. 24th checkout has not yet credited the 5K tier credits that I’m owed as of Dec. 10th. The reply from TR did also confirm that the reservation promo code was captured properly for my booking. I really hope I don’t have to go begging for the points later and that it’s credited automatically.

It'd be pretty easy to blow through 3-4k. I ran pretty good and profited, but at one point was at about 2k credits and swung it down to 500 in no time before hitting a few good hands.

Agree. If I'm running "normal" I'm losing about 80% of what tc I'm earning. As in, for 2500 tc I lose ~2k. But with some runbad, I can see a 3-4k loss, because I've gone through many a stretch of 200% or more of tc in losses. Just last week I decided to light $150 on fire while waiting for some wings to get cooked, earning 42 tc.

Just learned something about Diamond Aspirations benefits.
I thought Aspirations benefits expiration were the same as base Diamond benefits.
ie: earn in current year, dont expire till Jan two years from now.

it's not.

https://www.caesars.com/total-reward...irations/rules
Diamond Aspirations benefits must be used by Jan of the following year.

"Aspirations are based on the member’s 2017 Tier Score, and can be redeemed from February 1, 2017 through January 31, 2018 with all travel fully completed by June 30, 2018."

so if you make Aspirations on Dec 31, 2017, you have a month (till end of Jan) to book.
Also, must be booked 30 days in advance of travel date .
so if you make Aspirations on Dec 31, you can book in Jan 2018 but cant use it till at least feb 2018.
ie: cant use it for mlk weekend

No.

For Asp 1 earned in 2017, you can book the free rooms anytime Feb 1, 2017 through Jan 31, 2018 and use them before June 30, 2018.

MLK in 2018 falls into that time window.
