No host yet at Rio. I did my main VP session (1/2 DIAD) the last night I was in Vegas so I didn't have time to go over to the office. I think I can just call and they'll assign one to me, though. We'll see.

I was told at the TR desk that my play in Vegas would affect my TR offers nationwide, but it turns out that that isn't entirely the case. I should say, though, that it did affect offers at a great many other locations (Reno, Ak-chin, Harrah's Gulf Coast, Tunica, among others), but for whatever reason my AC offers are unchanged.*

*I think it could have to do with the fact that you get worse offers if you live in the same state as the casino.

Well AC summer hotel rates are always higher, some areas, like New Orleans, have very limited rooms/competition so have high rates as well. Did you check later in the year for AC?

I did and I'm not being offered a single comped room at Bally's, Harrah's, or Caesar's AC through June 2018.

I remember talking to a guy whose father played VP professionally (!) in Vegas and the guy told me that his father lived right over the border from Nevada in Arizona because if you live in-state the casinos give you much worse offers than those they give to out-of-staters.

Thank you Nick and others for all the help.

I did the reservation online and decided to include a 3 day trip in-between to a Treasure Island strip view room. I have never been there before and always thought that they should have one of the best views (except for Cosmo obv).

For long stays (2 weeks in my case) I just feel like I need a change of scenery after a couple of days.

i'm new to this. can DIAD be done at any total rewards casino or does it have to be done in vegas? I normally play at harrah's in iowa. when does the 24 hours typically start? thanks in advance.

Any casino. The day usually starts at 6am but it does vary by casino, you will need to check with that one.

Thinking about attending the lol poker tournament in October (I know how terrible the structure is, but it should be a cheap trip and various life circumstances make that a good time to hit Vegas). I don't really want to stay at Rio so choice is between Flamingo and Linq...is there much of a difference between the two? I may splash around in some low limit NL games, but am more of a limit player and will likely spend a decent amount of time in the pit.

You mean a Circuit event? As far as LHE the Linq doesn't have any because it has no poker room, so Flamingo would be more convenient for that. I don't remember them running anything bigger than 2/4 though. Orleans seldom run anything bigger than 4/8 so you're basically stuck with Bellagio for any bigger games.

As far as hotels, Linq beats Flamingo easily.

There is actually no Circuit event in Vegas in October. There's one in November.

This is a Diamond/7S freeroll with an unplayable structure, but free rooms + cheap flights and I have some free time that coincides with the dates.

Rooms at flamingo are slightly better but casino at linq is infinitely better

I've no idea how or why the invites are issued because I have always been one of the FC leeches and didn't get an invite last year but got one the year before.

My Seven Star buddy always got those freeroll invites, and he played only vp, so that's not what my problem is.

Out of town offers are often better than ones for locals, for places like CET, MLife, etc. The opposite is true for "locals" casinos (e.g. Boyd).

Neither my buddy, offtopic, or myself are locals. I'm not surprised about my buddy getting the freeroll as he's gotten it for years, gives tons of action on his frequent trips to Tahoe, and gets monster offers all the time. Like "show up and we'll give you 2 grand in cash". Also there's "free sh*t Friday" at the Rio, where locals get really nice stuff, sometimes after earning a small number of tc's and sometimes just for arriving. I'd rather be a local for that.

As far as the Orleans, I get their free crap offers too, although they aren't nearly as nice as the Rio's. All their giveaways are on weekdays though, so locals are more likely to use them.

Anyone get their Quest bonus tc's yet?

For seven star are any of the other gyms/spas besides Caesars Palace worth checking out?

Qua is ok but not much to do there besides sit in hot tubs and steam. Gym is nice though.

Any other tips for utilizing 7star?

Only thing I ever do is hook up friends with free rooms when they're in town, skip line/no cover at Omnia on occasion, and use the Flamingo valet at Caesars when I'm going to the strip.

Nope. From their T&C for this promo:
"The Tier Credit Bonus will be automatically added to Participant’s Tier Score for 2017 no later than September 15, 2017. "

If CET makes 40-50k a year off of me is that good? thats like a tier of 80-100k.

im asking because im reaching this status from poker. Was wondering if they make about the same from equivalent tier points.

like does the avg person give 75k$ to CET to make 7 stars. or are other 7 stars paying CET a lot more than that?

as next year rolls around I will be deciding if i want to push for 7 stars or not. If i do 8k tier a month the rest of the year I will have to make that decision late Dec.

I know ppl that make about 100k tier from poker then the other 50k from vp.... but what if mine was a lot closer to 150k from poker? If i do 150k all from poker that means CET made 75k$ off of me (yes paying 75k a year in rake).

They're playing 3000 hours a year in rooms that give 34 tc per hour?

Didn't think there was any place in Vegas where 2/5 even ran that many hours.

I guess he's including bonuses though, so a full 3000 hours wasn't necessary.
